2 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Kenilworth, Asheville

Lucerne Chalet is one of our more spacious downtown Asheville chalets. It has two bedrooms, and one and a half bathrooms, and is conveniently located just FIVE minutes to eclectic downtown Asheville, the South Slope, the River Arts District, the Blue Ridge Parkway, New Belgium Brewery, the Biltmore Estate, and much more.
Nestled in the treetops, you can gaze at the mountains from the gated porch and stroll through the quiet neighborhood with your dog. Cozy up to the gas fireplace in the living room.​
NOTES
This property is 1.3 miles from the heart of downtown but we would recommend transportation since it's not walker-friendly.
No grill at the house.
ALL mountain roads can be steep and dark at times. They may be daunting to an inexperienced mountain driver. The Lucerne Chalet is located in a quiet mountain subdivision on a circular one-lane road. Although it's a short road with street lights, it is tight, steep, and curvy. Please try to plan your arrival during the daytime if you are intimidated by mountain roads.
No smoking, vaping, or candles.
Must be at least 25 years old to reserve this property.
DOG RULES
A dog fee applies, plus all applicable taxes. Dog with prior approval. Dogs under 50 lbs. The size and breed of your dog are needed to register them. Please note that you are bringing your dog when making your reservation.
1. No puppies - Dog must be at least ONE YEAR OLD
2. No attack or aggressive breeds of dogs are allowed
3. Must have all shots and flea treatments that are up to date
4. Must always be on a leash and under the control of the owner
5. Must NOT sleep on beds, couches, or chairs
6. You must clean up after your dog and do not flush poop down the toilet
7. A dog fee will be charged for the extra cleaning required

Summary: A little glitch with the entry code… didn’t receive any notice of how to avoid getting locked out if you didn’t set the keypad yk unlock. Other than that our stay was just fine. Nice chalet with nice views of the sunrise coming over the mountains in the morning. Good job!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed this place! It is located on a mountain around other chalets, and it feels woodsy, yet, everything in Asheville is minutes away. I was involved in a conference at the downtown Embassy Suites and was there every morning in 10 minutes or less. Likewise the party places around Asheville were all minutes away. The house is well-equipped and the manager was readily accessible. Great place!

Summary: Just really hard to get to at night, no lights and it was really precarious. Only draw back. Property and house were great and property manager was very helpful when I was in distress.

Summary: This house was cozy and comfortable. Great for our family of four. Convenient to downtown. Though if you have a big truck, bike rack and 4 bikes the driveway/neighborhood is a little difficult to navigate (doable but difficult). :)

Summary: This is a wonderful place to stay. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this one is very well-thought out and mindful. If I had a need (a certain kind of pot, an extra towel, a blanket...) I just had to look around to find it. You can tell the owners care about their guests. We enjoyed our stay so much and we're grateful for all the care that went into the place.

Summary: Beautiful property and super convenient to downtown. Definitely recommend bringing a smaller vehicle or being very comfortable with driving through narrow, windy roads. But would 10/10 recommend this stay.
