A haven of peace, at the crossroads of three regions steeped in history and projects (Anjou, Touraine and Poitou), at the heart of the AOC appellation of Saumur wines, near the vineyards of Chinon, 10 minutes from the "Bois aux Daims" Center Parc, near the Loire Castles, troglodyte villages and on the Futuroscope route; very good quality equipment (large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, ...), a large cathedral living room with convertible sofa, 2 bedrooms with double bed, a terrace with barbecue, a large garden, a privacy preserved ... The 8 x 4 swimming pool (accessible depending on the weather from May to September) is shared with the owners, and reserved for the tenants of the gîte and the hosts of the house. On the terrace, deckchairs and parasols. Bikes (adults and teenagers) are available free of charge. We offer a table d'hôtes at 23 euros per person, drinks included, with a notice period of 6 hours. All accessories and maintenance products for the gîte are provided; if you wish to dispense with end-of-stay cleaning, an optional package is available at 50 euros, payable locally.

Summary: We had a wonderful week at this gîte. Christian and Marie were the perfect hosts, giving us tips on where to go and what to do but also giving us our privacy. The location is perfect for visiting all that the region has to offer but a car is essential. The gîte had everything we needed and the pool was wonderfully refreshing in the heat. Would definitely recommend to a small family looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful location.

Summary: We have just returned from this wonderful property. It's in a perfect location: Off the beaten track but only a few minutes from major roads and places to visit. It's really quiet: just the sound of birdsong and the breeze in the trees. The gite has everything you need and is far more impressive than the photos suggest. Lovely big garden and view, and almost exclusive use of the pool (apart from the owners and occasional visitors from their friendly family). The owners are extremely helpful and friendly, they had great suggestions of places to visit. Christian even took us to a local wine producer where we tasted and then bought a good selection! Chateaux are a short drive, or high-ropes (far better than Go Ape), kayaking, water skiing, go karting if you fancy something more energetic. There's even a Centre Parks round the corner, but we didn't feel the need to visit. Nice little towns to visit. Would love to return one day. Thank you so much Marie Agnes and Christian

Summary: This place is an absolute gem! Christian and Marie are such welcoming and helpful owners, lovely gift on arrival too. The location is perfect to get around to so many places and do lots of the tourist bits, chateau Breze was a great recommendation from Christian. Having the pool was perfect for the afternoons. Am already hoping to go back Summer 2019!

Summary: A great stay. Marie and Christophe were kind and helpful, yet very unobtrusive. Very warm weather for part of the week meant that the pool was invaluable. Lots to do and see in the local area. House clean and equipped with most things you would need for a week away. All in good working order. Thank you for having us to stay and we hope to return in the future.

Summary: We had a lovely week in the gite. Christian and Marie were wonderful hosts, welcoming, kind and helpful. We visited chateaus, wineries and wandered around the beautiful villages of Loudon and Chinon. The gite was clean and well-equipped. The garden was huge and very well maintained and the pool was just fantastic. Great place for a holiday. We were two adults and a 12 year old child.

Summary: We stayed at the gite as the second of a two week stay in the Loire Valley region. The couple who own the gite are very welcoming and friendly - we had an excellent lunch with them and Christian was good enough to take me on a wine tasting at a local vineyard. Thankfully there was enough space in the car for a few boxes!! The gite itself was well equipped and very comfortable. The swimming pool was very inviting and extremely well looked after. The nearby town of Loudon has everything you will need and any visitor must visit the nearby village of Montreuil-Bellay - very very nice.

Summary: If you want local nightlife, this is not the place for you! If you want a tranquil rural setting, only a few kilometres from villages, shops and some restaurants, and a good base to explore the Loire region, this is the place. Comfortable, very clean gîte for two or two and a child, well equipped, and with a small pool you share with the owners: they are lovely people, very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, vineyards etc, and they left us a few small items as a welcome, including Madame's excellent jam..... The pool is ideal for a break after a hard day's touring: the garden is large and backs onto open fields. The only sounds are the birds, and tractors. We value that. We also had a meal with our hosts - book 24 hours in advance - excellent food, good wines, and good conversation in French and English (Franglais?). There were clear instructions re finding it, and the st nav worked well, even if it did tempt us onto some gravel roads.

Summary: We stayed for a week and had a very relaxing family holiday. Our two small children loved the large garden and the swimming pool. We loved the absolute peace and quiet. The property was very well looked after and well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine as well as a cot, high chair, potty and step provided for our youngest. It's just a shame we were too late for the sunflowers...!
