Facing the Montmajour Abbey, our guests are welcomed in our 18th century property surrounded by vines, olive trees and crops such as sunflowers or wheat.
In a former stable, we built this comfortable air-conditioned rural gîte which cleanliness, comfort and aestheticism is very important to us and for the well-being of our guests.
A pool, a football pitch, a Pétanque set, a swing and a barbecue are provided for you in the farmhouse.
For your safety, the entrance of the farmhouse is secured with an automatic gate with code and as for the pool, it is fenced and covered.
Thanks to our hospitality experience, we are attentive to our customers in order to facilitate the discovery of our region, inform them about the festivals and local events and guide them towards to shops and restaurants that make us proud.

Summary: A charming gite in a quiet location with a welcoming and helpful owner. It is ideally placed close to the village shopping, bars restaurants etc. Within easy reach of the attractions of Arles and the Camargue which are delightful to explore, plenty to do and see, highly recommended.

Summary: This is a really nice place to be if you... - like a comfortable and quiet house, - want short distances to sights. Minor problems are that... - there are only French TV channels, - WLAN is sufficient for emails and internet search but a bit weak if you want to stream . Summary: We stayed at Le Domaine de Laforest for a week in late September 2014 in one of the remodeled farm buildings. The building is split into four or five self contained gites. The ground floor contains an open area with kitchenette, living and dining areas and the upstairs consists of two bedrooms , a separate WC, and a shower / laundry room. There is also a terrace overlooking the gardens. The gite is spacious and well furnished with modern appliances including satellite TV and Wi-Fi. The accommodation is clean and well looked after and the proprietors are helpful and provide local knowledge and tourist information. The location is about one mile from the village of Fontvieille which is walkable by road or cross country. The village has all the facilities needed for self catering - grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants etc and a tourist office. This is a good base for exploring the surrounding towns and countryside by car. It is easy to get to Pont-du-Gard, Avignon, Arles, Nimes, Saint Maries-de-la-Mer, St Remy-de-Provence, Les Baux etc. The local area includes the Roman Aqueduct and the Windmills made popular by Alphonse Daudet. Visitors should note the following additional costs - sheets and towels, cleaning, tourist tax and a charge for electricity. This added about 25% to our quoted cost. For non-local visitors - the gite was missing many of the basic items that we have found in similar accommodation elsewhere. There was no salt and pepper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry soap, coffee filters resulting in special trips to the store. We have suggested that the proprietor offer a "basics bag" for a few Euros to those travelling from overseas. In summary, this is excellent accommodation in an interesting area and to be recommended.
