Summary: Turned up and thought we'd walked into someone's house by mistake as one bedroom had unmade bed with clothes and shoes lying around, also loads of photos and opened letters (would gave been useful to know owner lived there some of the time). Also told it would be unlocked and to leave the door unlocked when we left. Weren't told it wouldn't lock at all. Generally dated and a furniture old and uncomfortable. However, it had all the basics needed for a stay. The kitchen was mostly clean and the bedding and towels clean. It's a lovely area and we generally enjoyed our stay.

Summary: A lovely cottage that was clearly described and came with easy to follow directions (and we arrived in the dark). Very comfortable, a home from home with everything you would need as well as having an Internet connection that worked well throughout our short stay. A great place to use, to explore the Highlands, very clean and tidy. I would come again as its so spacious and welcoming.

Summary: It took us a little while and a consultation from an employee of the Royal Mail to find this cottage, but once there we nestled right in. The cottage has lovely views over water and distant hills and is plunked down in a beautiful corner of the northwest coast. Come here for the quiet, the lull, the peace. Bring lots of food, and condiments, because dining options were limited in the deep of winter. Hiking to nearby Fox Point is a treat, as is a half-day visit to Knockan Crag. I do wish the kitchen had supplied olive oil and a few other basics to help with our self-catering.

Summary: The whole family loved this house. We wanted somewhere tucked well away from it all where we could relax and spend Christmas and New Year in peace. This was a good choice. Communication was good and directions clear. The house was well fitted out and comfortable. The large dining area was perfect for us to have christmas dinner. The house felt more like a family home than a holiday let and my only criticism was the lack of general info (or at least we couldn't find it) at the house. Many houses we stay at have info on local walk route and other amenities - wasn't a big problem though as the weather kept us in a lot of the time!. We found a really good little hill track that ran behind the hill and gave us some amazing views over the bay and to the hills beyond. In the end we were sorry to leave - if this cottage is staying as a holiday let in the future then i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
