Location
Banks Road, North Palmetto Point, Eleuthera, Bahamas. We are located on the Atlantic coast in the beautiful island of Eleuthera. Grocery stores and restaurants are only a 15 minute drive away in the main town of Governor's Harbour. We are also centrally located on the island, halfway between Harbour Island & Spanish Wells in the north (accessible by ferry) and Lighthouse Beach in the south.

Governor's Harbour (GHB) - 25 minutes away by car.
Rock Sound (RSD) - 40 minutes away by car.
North Eleuthera (ELH) - 75 minutes away by car, but there are places to stop and popular attractions along the way.

Beach Cottage Layout
Walk up one flight of stairs to 500 sq ft of ocean-view living space. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, stove/oven, and dining table for 2. The bedroom (1 king bed) and living room open onto the patio, overlooking the beach. The main level below consists of a garage and is used for owners' storage only. The entire Cottage is private to your booking.

About Us
The property is named after the seashell conch (pronounced "KONK") and was built in 1999. Although an older home, the current owners fell in love with its ocean views, direct location on the beach, and relaxed island vibe. Not needing much more than a simple abode, soft sand and sun, this is where they come to get away from it all, breathe in the fresh air, warm up and recharge. They welcome you to do the same!

Summary: This was our second stay on the property and will stay again in the future. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach and the house is perfectly set up for two people. The beach is largely private. Host communicates very well and property is clean and well cared for. Access to washer and dryer is also very nice.

Summary: This Cottage is not for everyone but, if you are two adults looking for, almost, total seclusion, a fantastic 'pink' sand, private beach 75 steps from your patio, a short drive to several great restaurants, this is the spot. Total rest and relaxation!!

Summary: Just spent a week here. Perfect location and perfect home for 2. Very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Close to our favorite places but staying here was our favorite too. Hope to come back.

Summary: We had multiple days we just hung out at what was basically our own private beach. Snorkeling was very good a little ways offshore on the reef structure, saw lots of different fish. Beach cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Property manager was very helpful with any questions we had.

Summary: The cottage is a great vacation getaway. The cottage is furnished with everything that you need for a great vacation. The host is excellent with their communication with you before and during your vacation. The cottage and beach location are semi-private. The beach directly in front of the cottage is wide with an easy walk into the water. We didn't see any visitor on our beach the whole week. You will see post about the "no-see-ums" insect. They are for real! The host will advise on different types of insect sprays that will work against this biting insect. The thing to do is wear long sleeves, light weight full length jogging pants with socks after 6pm. Even with those pesty insects, the cottage is an outstanding place to stay for your vacation. We'll be going back to the island in the future, and we hope to stay in the cottage if we can find an open week. It's one of the best places to stay on the island!

Summary: Amazing privacy with a stunning beach. Beautiful reef just 100 yards offshore. Night views are amazing. And the property itself is phenomenal - perfect in every way for a couple. Clean, good modern amenities, quiet and private. The only "complaint" is that the nightime biting insects are nothing to joke about. Make sure to have insect repellent and some Neosporin or similar - in the evenings they are just above the grass.

Summary: This was our third stay at Conch'd Out and it never disappoints! It is peaceful, private and beautiful. I am never happier than when I am at Conch'd Out and I am always sad to leave. The cottage is extremely clean and will meet the most picky standards. It is well appointed with everything you need. The management team are amazing and the owners go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. (that is if you are lucky to meet them during your stay). I miss it already. Time to book our next stay. You should book too, don't miss out on this gem!

Summary: My husband and I had a lovely time at this sweet little cottage with incredible oceanfront views nestled amongst the beautiful foliage and well-maintained grounds of this property on Banks Road. We felt safe and cared for by the hosts, property mgr, grounds keeper, and housecleaner (who waved at us from the adjacent house one day when we were leaving for the day to introduce herself). The cottage was clean and well-appointed for our needs. It is always nice to have a W&D at the beach. The beds were very comfortable; we slept well. The cottage is very conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants and lots of great beaches for which Eleuthera is known for. You do not want to miss Eleuthera Island Farm just minutes away, owned and operated by the property manager Anne and her husband. The beach at Conch'd Out, though gorgeous, is a bit rocky in places along the beach and upon water entry so keep that in mind. Other reviews have mentioned walking in either direction along the beach for miles though that does involve walking over lots of uneven and sharp rocks and timing things so you do not get caught when the tide comes in not being able to get back. None of that really matters as there are more than enough close by beaches with different features to meet various preferences. Just so you know that that might not be out your front door. Though it might be! I almost feel silly mentioning it as it truly is a magnificently beautiful place. Book and enjoy!
