Cool, Architect-owned, newly renovated (again) mid-Century modern, 2350 SF, 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home on large corner lot covered in live oaks and located in central Austin. The house is great for entertaining and located less than 1 shaded mile to Zilker Park-the ACL venue, close to all the SXSW venues, walking distance to S. Lamar music venues and some of the best restaurants in TX, 5 mins from S. Congress and downtown clubs, music, restaurants, great shopping. Rental bikes, scooters, buses, pedicabs, cabs, and car service all available close by.
Large, open living room has high, vaulted, exposed rafter and wood T& G ceilings, cork flooring, two sets of folding french doors leading to stone patio and working, cozy, stone fireplace. The kitchen is open to the Living and Dining Rooms and offers stainless appliances, granite counters, large pantry and an oversized, eat in island with a Breville espresso machine. High end coffee, local TX beers, filtered water, ice provided. Dining Room has spectacular view of beautiful grove of live oaks. Separate office with built in steel counter, desk (wireless printer and scanner and monitor available) and views to backyard, with separate entrance leads to granite gravel patio and carport. Newly built, very large, vaulted Master Bedroom suite with king sized bed, french doors leading to private side yard, walk in closet, withe large en suite bath: giant shower, double lavs, bidet, separate tub. Master is adjacent to large den with great views and full kitchen and has its own W/D. Large bedroom with queen bed has separate entry to fenced backyard and stone patio, lots of closet space, next to large central bathroom. The fully tiled central Bathroom features plenty of natural light, a deep, Greek soaking tub, double lavatories, slate floors, and glass and tile shower. Home includes second Master Bedroom with queen bed, large closet, private bath, kitchenette provided with bar sink, UC refrigerator, Keurig coffeemaker, and double french doors that lead to private, granite gravel patio and comes with en suite bath with glass tile surround, stone counter, fully tiled shower and tile floors with more views of the lovely live oaks. Third bedroom is equipped with very comfortable, double bed and all beds have high thread count bedding, down comforters and pillows. House has Google 1Gig Internet and two of the bedrooms and Living Room and Den are equipped with smart TVs House is located in very quiet area with plenty of off-street parking (one car carport plus concrete driveway), yet easy access to Zilker Park, S. Lamar, S. Congress, Downtown, all SXSW venues and ACL. Plush towels, high thread count linens, toiletries and hair dryers provided in baths. Light housekeeping available upon request for small upcharge. This is a legal rental licensed by the City of Austin, license no: OL 2013 125650 and taxes are paid to City and State. Summary: Located amidst some of Austin's most notable food establishments along South Lamar, and Barton Springs Pool is a one mile walk. Liz, the property manager, was most helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful with rolling hills and green spaces. Quiet enjoyment. We loved it!

Summary: The property has a lot of character and is a very cool house. I recommend removing the leather couch since there were so many restrictions around it. We didn't even sit in the den due to not be allowed to have drinks in that space. The updates to the house aren't quite finished and there wasn't a hot tub but the listing had one noted.

Summary: The house is in a neighborhood of amazing architecture which made morning walks fun. Close enough to the city that you wanted to go downtown yet far enough away that you felt more comfortable. Very close to all the South Lamar restaurants and a short walk to a great bakery for breakfast or bread.
