2 Bedroom Cottage in Hunts Point

Located on Nova Scotia's South Shore, this beautifully renovated 2 bedroom cottage is within walking/biking distance of beautiful mile long Summerville beach. The open concept living and kitchen area with wall of windows offers expansive ocean views from practically anywhere in the house. Our back deck space is well furnished and is ideal for lounging, relaxing or casual dining. A private oceanfront hot tub , private barrel sauna and an outdoor fire pit are only steps away. Flat rocks on the ocean, accessible only from the property, provide a private sun deck ideal for sunbathing. Unwind and relax with breathtaking views and luxurious interiors.
Cosy cottage is private and has its own amenities, but our staff does use the garage to take supplies and laundry as needed in order to service tiny oceanfront retreat and designer oceanfront villa next door .We are planning on adding a private shed for the units next door soon , but until then we will need to access the garage.
PS : This cottage has 2 bathrooms . One full bathroom and one half bathroom .
We would appreciate if kids don’t play with playdoh , water or slime inside the house . Furniture should not be moved . FirePit is not supposed to be moved . Garbage needs to sorted , Burn restrictions are to be followed. Water to be poured once fire pit is used . Only toilet paper to be flushed , we have a septic tank .

Summary: Overall, the stay was great and would go again. The view was wonderful, cottage was clean, and grounds are well kept. A few things, I did not like there was no back light to the back deck so we were not able to utilize it as much once it got dark. It was dangerous going down the back step to get to sauna without a flashlight. There was no window covering on the front or back door would have liked that for privacy; however, not sure if this was done for security reasons. Communication from the property manager or the person sent to enter as someone came by and just opened the garage door. This left myself and my husband feeling a bit uncomfortable knowing that someone could just enter at any time and not bother to knock on the door to let us know that they are there.

Summary: We had an excellent stay at this oceanfront cottage in Hunts Point Nova Scotia. It's a great spot to explore the South Shore lighthouse route, nearby to Lunenburg & some other cute day trips. It also had incredible amenities including washer & dryer, hot tub, sauna and the comfiest bed! We absolutely loved having the windows open hearing the sounds of the waves as the sun came up in the morning ❤️

Summary: 2 couples easily accommodated. More than 4 would be tight. On the water with pretty view. Loved the hot tub. About an hour south of Lunenberg, so easy day trip there. Kitchen well equipped. Living room comfortable.

Summary: Arriving at the property, we had no idea the cottage was directly on the busy roadway. There are no listed pictures of the front of the cottage, which would have helped more than the couple dozen "family photos" on the website. Worse yet, there was major road construction going on directly in front, that we were not made aware of. There is no A/C at this cottage, and with Global warming happening..it was a bit toasty, though a few fans and the windows opened...we were fine. Upon coming back the next day, found the garage door open and someone in the basement, which freaked us out. Apparently the basement of this cottage is used as housekeeping for the 3 cottages in this area. This was not explained in the listing, and was very vague in the booklet inside the cottage. Maintenance also comes in and out every other day to pick up hot tub cleaning materials for other cottages and to clean the hot tubs for the 3 in this area. This we got used to also, and had some nice conversations with the staff. The outdoor deck is very small with too much furniture, but we still enjoyed it. The view is wonderful and the breeze off the bay is lovely. Really enjoyed walking down to "Quarterdeck" for lunch and the beautiful beach at Summerville. From what I understand the management is going to install an A/C unit, and increase the size of the deck. Would we stay here again...yes, if we are ever in the area again. Found it cozy and perfect size for just the two us

Summary: The name that the owners chose for this property was perfect. Given one word to describe this place, cozy would be about the best. It felt like home from the moment we stepped inside. Everything one could imagine needing was there and found where one might expect to find it. The furniture and decor were comfortable, everything was clean with no surprises, and the view was awesome. When you add in the sauna and hottub which were the perfect combination for winding down the days, this place certainly rates as many stars as we can possibly give it. The only part we didn’t enjoy was having to leave.

Summary: Location was beautiful and setting/amenities were perfect for a low key beach vacation/reunion with our adult children. A great base for family time, exploring, and enjoying nature on the south shore trails and beaches. We saw seals and even had an eagle visit the shoreline of the property our first afternoon there. Restorative and fun, even with all the rain and fog! Highly recommend.

Summary: We loved this location. The views from the back windows and deck were amazing. It felt secluded even though there were neighbors. My son was surprised to find the rock outcropping to explore. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was the highlight. This was our favorite spot on our Nova Scotia vacation!

Summary: This property was beautifully decorated inside, and very comfortable, with all needs thought-out. All the windows showing the beautiful view was amazing! We really enjoyed the hot tub during the sunsets!
