Positive: After finishing the Camino, this is the perfect place to get settled, contemplate, and take in the experience of the walk. The space provides one the peace and serenity to take in the whole experience away from the noises of the tourists around the cathedral. The garden is spacious, calm, and lovingly tended. The view of the cathedral from what I call the meditation room is inspiring and conducive for reflection. Mario and Noemi are the perfect host that provides one the space one needs but available for whatever one may need. The home is equipped with all the necessities and is very tastefully curated without any details left unattended. Every view from any angle, inside the house and in the garden is utter perfection. Very well done!👏😊

Positive: Well equipped apartment in a very quiet part of town. Totally worth the 20 min walk from old town. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated with everything you would need for a good stay. Mario is the perfect host with a great gift of hospitality and sense of humor.

Positive: We really liked the decor and garden. It had a lovely atmosphere. Everything we needed was there. Comfortable and clean and well located in the countryside and yet a very pleasant walk into the centre of Santiago to the cathedral. We found the host, Mario, very welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. We would thoroughly recommend Cotolai. We had a great time.

Positive: Mario is an exceptional host. On arrival in the afternoon it was pouring with rain but Mario drove us to the local supermarket so we could get some provisions. Next morning it was still raining so Mario appeared with his car to give us a lift into the centre of Santiago - which was much appreciated. His daughter Laura also offered advice over the phone when required. The apartment that we had was very spacious and had a pleasant garden and the photos are all very accurate. Car Parking is in an allocated space just a few metres from the property in a cul de sac. It is about 20 minutes walk to the cathedral and rainy weather didn’t stop us visiting and experiencing some of the main historic attractions there. Thank you Mario for your hospitality.
Negative: The weather - but that can’t be helped and Mario helped out with this anyway.
