”The Cottage” belonging to Donata and Claudio is set in the beautiful garden of the main house, full of rare roses and beautiful flowers typical of the Mediterranean. It offers a spectacular the view from the terrace overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia, Lerici and the Apuan Alps.
The cottage, (30 sqm.), comprises of a large main room with a double bed and an extra single bed, Sattelite TV, a pellet stove (in case it gets cooler), kitchen with fridge, oven, electric cooker and bathroom with a shower.
On the front terrace, there is a cozy sunny seating area.
Breakfast can be provided upon request.
The ferry for Portovenere, Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso) and Palmaria Island is just 5 minutes drive away. The famous Versilia and Forte dei Marmi is a 40 min drive away. Especially likely to appeal to keen walkers the CAI path no. 23 , in front of our house to Riomaggiore runs in front of the house. Riomaggiore is the first village of the Cinque Terre from where you can return by train. Within a 4 hours walk you can reach Portovenere from where you can return by bus.
The Cinque Terre is just 7 minutes train ride.

4 km from the Central Railway Station of La Spezia.
6 km. from the La Spezia A15 motorway.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From the motorway exit please follow the signs to CENTER and PORTOVENERE, then follow the signs to GENOVA SS 1 (main roads are numbered in Italy) for approx. 5 KM. After the crossroad of VIA AMENDOLA and VIA GARIBALDI, go straight on following the signs towards GENOVA until the crossroad with VIA PARODI on the left. After 200 mt you have arrived.
"The cottage" offers the opportunity to relax surrounded by nature. Feel free to walk in our garden or just relax on our large terrace. A stay in our cottage is perfect for guests who love to be in natural sourroundings by the sea and enjoy spectacular views from the mountains to the sea.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. It is really cozy inside and has a beautiful garden and the view over La Spezia is stunning. Donata and Claudio were very nice and helpful hosts. We highly recomend the cottage!

Summary: The Cottage is everything provided in the description by the hosts and much more. It is quaint, charming, clean, and comfortable. The view is stunning and Donata’s garden is exquisite. I slept comfortably and utilized the easily accessible buses and trains to get around La Spezia and Cinque Terre. The hosts, Donata and Claudio, are beautiful people. They were extremely gracious and attentive to me while giving me the full use of the Cottage and total privacy. I speak very little Italian and was able to communicate very well with the hosts in English. This was the best vacation I have had because The Cottage felt like home and Donata and Claudio felt like friends. I will return as many times as they will have me. If you are looking to fall in love with Italy, stay at The Cottage and enjoy all it’s scenic wonders and the warm hospitality Donata and Claudio offer.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay, fabulous views, very cosy cottage with all we needed to self cater for our stay. Very helpful owner who provided lots of information. Enjoyed the hot tub, and the blackberries from the garden for breakfast were delicious. A car is necessary to stay here, quite a long way down to shops etc. So relaxing. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Summary: We had a great stay at the cottage. You have everything you need, even a Jacuzzi :) We got a very nice breakfast every morning which we enjoyed on the terrace in the morning sun. Donata and Claudio were great hosts and came to help us when electricity was down. We can absolutely recommend the cottage if you want a great place to come home to in your holidays.
