Beautiful Riverside cottage, private, remote, semi-secluded. Located on the Kennebec river. A roomy one room cottage and enclosed porch with a view of the river and the Appalachian Trail crossing. Surrounded by woods and bordered by a crystal clear stream. If you're into the outdoors this is the place for you. Hiking, biking, fishing, rafting right outside your door.
The main cabin has a queen size bed, the enclosed porch has one double bed and one single bed. During the day, the porch is a great place to relax, read a book, or just take in the river view. A roomy kitchen, with everything you could need. The full bath is also stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. and has a stackable washer and dryer for your use. You will also have free use of the River/lake, lawn/beach area, fire pit, gazebo with double hammock, kayaks, canoe and propane grill.
We are in the middle of an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Next to the applachian trail, we have tons of day hikes close by, mountain tops, views, or waterfalls whatever you're looking for. Whitewater rafting is the big summer industry here, there are several outfitters located within 5 miles of our place. Several restaurants and a brew pub are close by. You can fish right out the front door, either in the lake, the river or in the stream that borders the property. There are biking and walking trails as well. We are glad to offer suggestions, or even show you around.
We are next door on the property and happy to answer any questions or help with concerns. We love to meet new people and socialize but will respect your space and privacy.

Summary: This is a wonderful find and so well appointed -from perfect glassware to comfy sheets and fluffy towels. You will want for nothing! My husband and I stayed for four days to attend a wedding close by. This was a perfect spot. Thank you Mike and Kim for sharing your special place.

Summary: This property is truly unique in it’s location and it’s layout. Just steps away from the Kennebec River, the cottage is outfitted with everything needed for an amazing stay. After returning from a day on the trail or the water, we sat in the peaceful yard right on the shore of the river. The beauty of the setting is amplified by the absence of neighbors next to the cottage or across the river. In addition to the comfortable chairs provided by the river, a lovely screened in gazebo provides another option for taking in the serenity. The cottage has a wonderful room off the back with windows all the way around facing the woods and the river. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a great shower. We enjoyed cooking on the large gas grill out on the covered porch. We had our own private outdoor seating to enjoy a meal, along with an extra large hammock big enough for two. Thanks to our great hosts Mike and Kim for providing this very special place!

Summary: The cabin was a perfect break away from the hustle of life. It was extremely peaceful to wake up to the sounds of rain dripping from the leaves. We loved walking down to the river and watching the deer across the way. We raved to all of our friends how well equipped the cabin was. We’ve stayed at many VRBO’s and had never stayed at one like this. They had everything you could think of in case you forgot something at home. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming during our stay as well. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Summary: We were there only a couple of nights as we planned a whitewater rafting excursion. It was such a lovely spot near the river. The cottage had everything we needed. The owners checked in to see if we had all we needed. The beds were comfortable and the addition of family games was welcome, especially with the rain we had while there.

Summary: Serene cabin on the Kennebec River. The cabin is impeccably clean with ample space and all the necessities. We caught many fish on the river , enjoyed kayaking. Mike and Kim are great hosts, very friendly and helpful.
