Summary: Excellent location for Normandy beaches. A clean property with everything you might need for your stay. The only problem was the patchy wi-fi. It seemed to be available during the day but not in the evening.

Summary: Everything was great on this property. Very clean, and comfortable. The only issue I have is that in the advertisement, it looks like you have an ocean view, (there is not an ocean view).

Summary: Beautifully presented property in a perfect location for touring the Normandy coast. It is only a short distance from the Portsmouth to Caen ferry and the shops and restaurants in Ouistreham. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering. Sophie is a very approachable and responsive host if you have any questions prior to or during your stay.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Sword Cottage. The property was clean, well equipped and as described in the advert. The town of Hermanville-Sur-Mer is a little quieter than ideal for us, but if you're looking for a quiet place to stay on the Normandy coast this is an ideal property.

Summary: Cottage Sword Beach is lovely. Perfectly appointed and in a great position to explore the surrounding beaches and museums. The rest of the site is ecclectic, but it is obviously a work in progress with other cottages being built. The owner and her son are friendly and attentive - yet leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace without any disturbances. Had a wonderful time.

Summary: Lovely little chalet house, spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need to stay (including lots of extras) and also lots of info about the area. Great location for the D day beaches too. The park it's on looks like it's currently being upgraded and has a small pool and table tennis. Sophie is a charming host and put up with our broken French very well! Highly recommended!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in Sword Cottage. The chalet is in a quiet location with a delightful and spacious terrace. It offered everything we needed including a dishwasher and a washing machine (perfect for our two week stay!) and is tastefully decorated. Sophie was helpful and charming from the booking phase till we departed. Our boys enjoyed the pool and crêpes from the poolside snackbar every day, as well as table tennis and football on the pitch. Hermanville beach is a 10+ min. walk from the site and has a fantastic promenade for strolling, jogging or simply enjoying the view. The area offers so many possibilities for historical and cultural day trips as well as beach activities and other sports. We also took the train to Paris, a two-hour ride, from Caen and loved doing the sights there for a day too. Thank you Sophie for making our holiday so memorable this year! Summary: We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We didn't stay in the property much as we were out all day looking at sights. Perfectly sized for a short stay. Extremely clean & tidy. We visited the Caen memorial centre and the Juno beach visitor centre as well as the German guns at Longue sur mer. We ate local seafood dishes and introduced our two young boys to moules & frites. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter ass we were interested in the visitor centres. If returning we'd use a local tour guide to go and visit more of the beaches & specific sites of interest.
