Less than 1 mile from Tweedbank station & The Borders Railway Stables cottage offers excellent connections by train to Edinburgh and is ideally placed in the town of Melrose with is wide range of attractions, restaurants, cafes, pubs and high quality shops.
Stables is a stone built detached cottage on a single level with private parking, patio, garden furniture, BBQ and sitting in stunning landscaped gardens. Stables has an open plan kitchen and dining area adjoining the lounge with seating for 4. It has a wide range of modern kitchen appliances including with fridge, hob, oven washing machine and dryer. The lounge features high quality leather sofas, solid oak flooring and a large modern digital TV and Blueray player. Free high speed WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
The lounge also has a good quality large sofa bed which is a available for the third person or any visitors. There is a small wash-room and wc just off the lounge. The master bed-room has a king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with WC and shower. The cottage is fully centrally heated and double glazed. Summary: We enjoyed our stay in The Stables and found it very comfortable and cosy. It also had a pretty outside area to sit too. Claire and Donald were very friendly hosts. Melrose is a beautiful town and lots to do there and in the surrounding area. You probably need a car.

Summary: We were delighted by our stay. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The garden was stunning and an extra treat. The property is well-maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed the comfort after hiking for five hours. The location and parking are easy. This is a great option and a very good value.
