Positive: Beautiful property. Nicely set up with everything we needed in kitchen
Negative: We did have a hard time sleeping first night as it is very noisy with the wind. It’s a cool sound as it’s nature but if you’re used to quiet it’s challenging to sleep even with ear plugs. We got very wet when we hiked the el Tigre water falls and we had no way of drying out anything . We had to pack up some very wet gear to take to our next location to wash and dry.
Summary: Lovely place, nature can be noisy and bring rain gear, it is the cloud Forrest after all.

Negative: Bring ear plugs, Monteverde has wind, and loud bugs. There are no trees touching the roof anymore.

Positive: Very well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. Very spacious and well equipped. Feels Like you are in the jungle with the trees on all sides. Great instructions from the owner how to get there.
Negative: It needs a heated towel rail in the bathrooms as due to the humidity towels do not dry. Best to arrive in daylight due to the roads

Positive: This property is gorgeous! The house is very spacious and was clean and modern. Great showers! Wonderful stay! It was lovely that Netflix was logged in as we weren’t feeling well one night and just stayed in.
Negative: The trees scratching on the house can be quite loud on windy nights and the wall between the neighbor is quite thin and everything can be heard. Some instructions about how to use the induction stove would be helpful!

Positive: This was our second time staying at Cougar as we absolutely loved it the first time. The property is spacious, modern and very clean. The master bedroom has a balcony which we sat on every day and night and watched the birds and the stars. We saw Toucan's, hummingbirds, wrens and many more. The location is very peaceful. There is a farm close by selling fresh produce along with a night tour and dinner. Our host Maria is wonderful. Very attentive and just a beautiful human.
