2 Bedroom House in Ellendale, Memphis

Our large, spacious 2 BR 1 BA Brick Home is located on a 1/2 acre lot in a great safe location 15 min to anywhere in the City. It has four full size beds. Two beds in each bedroom. It sleeps up to eight people if 2 people sleep to a bed. It's walking distance to Shelby Farms Park & the Green Line bicycle/walking path. Our home has a large, fully equipped kitchen with a full set of pots and pan, bakeware, blender, handmixer, dishes - everything you need to cook a nice meal. Our house has a Wine Cooler, Breakfast Bar, Washer/Dryer, iron and ironing bed. 1 Gig internet.
The house can sleep up to 8 people if 2 people sleep per bed. Please keep in mind that there is only 1 bathroom if you choose to book 8 people.
For those traveling with small children. Our home is NOT baby proof. The outlets are not covered and cabinets do not have safety latches on them.
This house is not able to accommodate parties. Please do not book if you are looking for a place to hold a party.
We do not accept reservations from guests with negative reviews from other hosts.
Our updated and remodeled home was the original farmhouse built in 1938 and the neighborhood was the farm. Over time the farmer sold off parts of his land and the neighborhood built up around it. Several of the homes in the neighborhood are on large pieces of land (2 acres to the left of us and two acres across the street from us) and many other of the houses are just normal neighborhood homes. You get a nice mix of country and suburbs in our neighborhood. We are right down the street from Shelby Farms which is a huge park with paddle boats, zip lining, bike rental and bike trails and lots more.

Summary: Upon arriving the owners of the property stay in the back. Going in dust and feeling of something on my skin crawling made me uncomfortable and mention it whether it’s dust mites or bugs I was threatening with lawsuit for slander. I left after the night because I paid for two nights. Front door had a lock pole so you enter only in the back. Very old fashion and strong cleaning order from moth balls and some other smell.

Summary: The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Nice, clean, soft sheets, and comfy beds. Welcoming hosts that are very thoughtful with their provisions. It is like you truly are guests in their home. Their description is very honest. We visit Memphis at least 3 times per year. We are pretty familiar with Memphis. We have stayed in hotels all over the city. (Some of them only once). If it's available, we wouldn't hesitate booking another stay here.

Summary: I stay here when I come to Memphis on business. John and Pamela are excellent hosts, never any issues. I only gave the neighborhood a 4 rating becaue of the surrounding areas. Their street is safe and quiet.and I've had no issues the past 3 years. I hate giving a high rating because I want it available when I travel there, but the truth is what it is.

Summary: The outside looks a little rough, some debris from a fallen tree limb, the roof looks really old. But the inside was clean, the air conditioner worked very well. If you are expecting plush accommodations, find a different place. But if you want a nice secure clean place, this one hits all the marks. The beds were comfortable and linens clean. John was nice and had breakfast items available for us as well. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do.

Summary: Very nice little house that has everything you need to stay! It's close to the freeway, food places and multiple gas stations within walking distance!
