Enjoy this private location tucked back in the woods but less than a mile from the Caverns, Natural Bridge, Zoo and Dinosaur Kingdom 2. This newly remodeled home has an open concept living space, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom. The decks on front and back invite to sit and relax with a good book, observe nature (wildlife is abundant!) or view the starry sky at night.
On this 4 acre lot are only 2 cottages so privacy and lots of space is ensured. There is plenty of space for your kids to play tag or to toss the ball for your pup. After a day of exploring our neighborhood attractions kick back by a campfire, play board games, read and soak up quality time with your loved ones. If lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of some of our abundant wildlife.
We aim to offer you a clean & comfortable cottage in a beautiful, serene setting where unforgettable memories are made with friends & family alike.

Downtown Lexington is a short 18min drive away and has so much to offer A very cute downtown with shops, restaurants, many historic sites and of course VMI, W&L and the Virginia Horse Center.
Buchanan is approx. 15minutes drive from the cottage. Walk across the Buchanan Swinging Bridge if you dare! Rent canoes, kayaks, rafts or river tubes to cool off in the James river or visit the weekly flea-market or one of the many antique shops.
The Blue Ridge Parkway can be accessed from 3 different points all within 15minutes or less (Glasgow US-501 is 6.8 miles; Buena Vista US-60 is 14miles, Buchanan US-43 12miles away)
There is so much to see and do in this area and there is really never a bad time to visit the Shenandoah Valley. Its a sight for sore eyes any time of the year. Come stay with us and see for yourself. We would love the opportunity to host you at our wonderful cottage. Hope to see you soon!
Listed below are our house rules. Booking a reservation is considered acknowledgement and acceptance of those rules. Breaking the house rules will result in immediate cancellation of your stay without refund, forfeiture of deposit and/or addl fees.
*Please treat our property like you were borrowing from a friend. Be respectful of
home, property and wildlife.
*While we are happy for our guests to entertain family and friends at our cottage,
there must be prior authorization before booking and an extra day-guest fee will
apply. No unauthorized people or pets at any time during your stay, please.
*Keep number of guests including visitors to no more than authorized at any time
during your stay. Same is true for dogs. With prior notification, no more than 2 dogs
at any time are allowed on the property.
*Smoking is restricted to porch and grounds. Please dispose of cigarette buds
properly (do not throw buds on the ground) Absolutely no smoking of any kind
allowed inside.
*Well behaved, vaccinated and housetrained dogs are welcome. Please don't leave your
pet unattended & pick up after up after your pet.
*Wildlife is abundant, therefore:
*Do not leave food or trash outside.
*Keep your pet leashed at all times while enjoying the outdoors as property is not
fenced.
*Occasionally a bug will make it into the cottage despite our best efforts and
frequent bug spraying. You are in the country and this is to be expected. No
refunds will be given.
*Virginia law prohibits feeding of bears.
*No hunting or discharging of firearms at any time.
*Enjoy campfires in designated area only. Fires must be attended to at all times and
fully extinguished before stepping away. All local burn restrictions must be followed.
*Quiet times are between 10pm-8am
*Please report any damage and/or breakage in a timely manner. Damages exceeding
the security deposit must be paid by guest.
Don't forget to close windows and lock doors when you leave.

***Unauthorized people/pets at any time during your stay will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit and/or incur additional fees.****
