Positive: This cottage is beyond beautiful. We fell in love immediately with its warm, cosy feel. The kitchen was huge and overlooked the well stocked country garden which had a gorgeous outside seating area covered with hanging wisteria. There was plenty of seating in the kitchen and lounge to relax. We were there in the summer so spent time out in the garden. We cooked for ourselves and all the expected plates, utensils, pots and pans were available. Two cosy bedrooms and a bathroom with shower made for a comfortable stay. The location is simply perfect. Next to a park, within an easy walk to the local pub, strolling distance to the canal walks and within distance of local attractions such as Stonehenge it was ideal for us, visiting from America. The cottage was gorgeous and made our holiday. it is that special! You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
Negative: We loved everything about this cottage.
Summary: Gorgeous cosy cottage in perfect location for local attractions.

Positive: Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is gorgeous and blissfully quiet. It's the absolute typical British country cottage experience (which does mean steep stairs and low doorways, but totally worth it if you are able bodied). The garden and outdoor areas are amazing, and the views really are as stunning as they look in the photos. The kitchen was well equipped and the hot water tap (instead of a kettle) really does work surprisingly well. The separate laundry room and spare fridge were useful - maybe add a washing basket to carry laundry outside and reduce the use of the dryer? Parking space is large, and the property description makes it easy to find. Wifi in the house is good, but sadly no signal at all in the garden. For those of us who would like to make a call or catch up on work in the gorgeous garden this is not possible which is a real shame. The sitting room is huge and was lovely and cool when we arrived (on a hot and sunny day late in May). The conservatory/kitchen area overlooking the garden is beautiful. I did have to work on this trip, and I can not imagine a nicer place to do it from. The beds were comfortable with decent pillows (something I am super picky about).
Negative: The owner doesn’t send the key box code until a few hours before arrival (although full instructions are sent 24 hours before). This is a nightmare if you don’t have a UK data package, as the cell signal in the area is poor and we couldn’t pick up our e-mail to get the access code, which left us hanging around in the garden trying to get e-mail to download. Sending it even 12 hours in advance would be helpful (before people are travelling) and still connected to decent wifi or their home network. We did try calling the owner on the number provided, but there was no answer and no possibility to leave a message. We ended up buying a data package, which was expensive and inconvenient. Once we finally got inside we had been left 2 (!!) tea bags and 4 small UHT milk pods. There are no basics provided at all, so if you don't want to have to turn around and go straight back out you should bring these with you (tea, fresh milk, biscuits, dishwasher and washing machine tabs. etc). A small welcome pack would cost very little to provide, and make for a more positive first impression. The double bed in the second bedroom is a small double and pushed up against the wall one one side. There is less than 20 cm space between the bed and wall on the other side, so this room is very tight. It was fine for 1 teenager, but it is something to bear in mind if you plan to use it for adults. Some simple information about nearby supermarkets, take aways, etc would be appreciated. There are some good options locally and I did leave some menus on the bookcase which will hopefully be helpful to future guests.
Summary: Overall a nice place to stay for the real British country cottage experience.

Positive: The location was idyllic and the cottage almost perfect. The weather was good and the Wisteria covered Pergola gave a perfect spot to sit in the beautiful cottage garden looking across open farmland.
Negative: Needed to be a handrail going up stairs. As mature guests it would have been more helpful. Beautiful bathroom but disappointed that the advertised 2nd bathroom was in fact only a loo and hand washbasin albeit convenient on the ground floor. A stand in shower would also have been more useful. However these are only niggles and do not detract from our overall stay which was great for 4 days.
Summary: Idyllic country cottage

Positive: Beautiful little cottage in an idyllic setting. We had everything we needed and we both thought the cottage was the perfect place to get away for a few days. The views from the garden are stunning and we spent many hours just relaxing with a drink and taking in the scenery. Our host provided us with excellent directions to get to the property together with a handy guest book on site with all the information we needed for our stay. Highly recommended!
Negative: Nothing we didn’t like.
Summary: Lovely cottage in the country
