The en-suite room is spacious, bright and airy. The french doors open onto a patio area with idyllic rural views.

Welcome to Oak Mead, an Oak framed house located in The Golly, a hamlet on the Welsh border nine miles from Chester.
Rural location but very accessible to motorway network, North Wales - Snowdonia, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.
The Coach house is in the grounds of Oak Mead, our family home.
Guests will have access to the entire ground floor which is open plan with a log burning stove, two bedrooms( one double, two single beds )wet room and kitchen.
French doors open out onto a small patio and offer pleasant views.
Within our family home we have two self contained double bedrooms with ensuite.
One being the Balcony room where an outside staircase leads you up to the self contained en-suite room.
The downstairs bedroom is spacious, bright and airy. The french doors open onto a patio area with idyllic rural views.

Summary: This property was lovely and owner was super friendly and welcoming! The room is attached to main house so you can hear activity. However, we had a lovely stay. Other rentals on grounds and the would certainly go back.

Summary: A lovely room with everything we needed. Greeted by Tom on arrival who was really professional. Ideal location for us as we have elderly relatives in Chester. We visit the area about 3 or 4 times a year and now we have found Oak Mead will certainly book in again. Highly recommended.

Summary: Oak Mead's ground floor room was just perfect for the two of us and our dog Ruby. The bed was extremely comfortable, the wet room was great with plenty of hot water The entire property was very clean and comfortable. It was handy to have a microwave, kettle and toaster also plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses and a bottle opener. There is an iron and mini ironing board plus a hairdryer. The view was simply wonderful with the 2 adorable horses in the field at the bottom of the garden. Ruby loved to play with one of Menna's dogs! We loved everything about this propery and will definitely book next year as you need more than a day in Chester which we thoroughly enjoyed! Visited the Cathedral and had a drink in Ye Olde Kings Head which we understand is haunted by as many as 13 ghosts! Many thanks to Menna and Tom for welcoming us into your gem of a propery

Summary: We were very impressed with our stay. The location next to a sheep farm was beautiful as well as the room was perfect. The room included a sitting area. The bed was comfortable. The people were nice and helpful. We would stay there again. Loved it!
