This beautiful custom built 4 season Cape Cod Style home features walkouts to the waterfront from the main and lower levels, a wellness room, a games room with air hockey and table tennis, a hot tub and an upstairs great room for cozy movie nights. Located on County Road 13 just 20 minutes south-east of Picton, this house is ideally situated minutes from vineyards, parks, hiking, museums, galleries and all the wonders of The County.
Enjoy the wraparound porch with enclosed sun-room…soak in the hot tub while watching the sun set over the bay…go for a dip in the lake (shallow entrance is great for little ones) and enjoy the beach with sand between your toes. Explore South Bay via kayak or paddle board… entertain from a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and soaring ceilings and relax in the open dining and family room with the wood-burning stove and wall to wall windows.
This beautiful home offers friends and families a cozy, sophisticated escape with all the character and charm The County has to offer. The goal is to make your vacation as luxurious and relaxing as possible. If you need something specific, just ask!

Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as "The County" the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline.
Getting Around:
Visiting Prince Edward County does require your own vehicle. There is no public transit or Uber in The County, although we do have a number of taxi companies and car for hire services.

Summary: We were 6 women, getting together for a long weekend. This home is truly all that it says it is going to be.... beautiful, clean, bright, has such beautiful water and sunset views, lots of space to accommodate 6-8 people, (even for that little bit of quiet time that is so nice to have), and lots of games to enjoy. The kitchen is truly well equipped, and we totally enjoyed preparing and eating our meals with all the water views. The hot tub worked perfectly, and we were lucky to have an awesome starlight show 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. We wanted a country get away. If visitors want an urban night life to go to, while staying in this wonderful place on the southeast side of PEC, then just remember that PEC is a county, and you will need to drive 10- 30 minutes to get to the restaurants or theater, depending on what you choose to do. For us, we explored all day, and were perfectly happy to come back to such a beautiful and relaxing place to spend our evenings. The water was a great temperature to swim in. We would suggest bringing water shoes, since there is a stretch of small rocks to cross before entering the water, and because there is silt as well as sand at the bottom of the lake. Having water shoes will be more comfortable. Kayak and paddle board were available just as stated, but we never ended up using them- we ran out of time! I would have no hesitancy to recommend this lovely home, in fact, I would be happy to encourage it! ++ thanks for a great weekend.

Summary: We have stayed at several VRBOs and the County Lakehouse in PEC is definitely the best! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated in farmhouse style and the kitchen is fully equipped for those who enjoy cooking. Lots of activities for our teens - air hockey, ping pong table, games, TV room for those wet days, as well as a screened in porch and large deck. They also enjoyed kayaking across South Bay from the Lakehouse's own dock. Best of all, sitting on the dock with a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the lake. Pure heaven!
