Beautiful, newly-renovated cabin nestled in the peace and quiet of central Michigan.
Vacation style community with access to lakes with beaches and fishing, indoor swimming pool, putt putt golf, tennis and basketball courts and over 100 miles of trails. Come for a quiet family vacation or retreat!
The gated neighborhood has three beaches that are all approximately a mile from the cabin. There is a community pool located in the neighborhood clubhouse that is also approximately a mile from the cabin. There is parking near the beaches and clubhouse, but on a nice day they are a walk-able distance!
The cabin sleeps 13 comfortably. It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a fully finished basement. Approximately 2,800 sqft.
Master Bedroom: Queen Tempurpedic mattress & a Master Bathroom with a jetted tub and separate walk-in shower
1st bedroom: 1 Full bed (main floor)
2nd bedroom: 2 Full beds (basement)
3rd bedroom: 2 Full beds & 1 Twin bed (loft)
Basement offers spacious second living area that also has a futon and provides additional sleeping space for an air mattress etc. for larger groups.
Two outdoor deck spaces; in front and back. Gas grill on the back deck.
Central heat.
No central air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in every room of the cabin with additional fans if needed and a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom during the summer months.

Summary: We were there for week of Labor Day. It was extremely hot that week. It was fun seeing all the 4 wheelers and dirt bikes over Labor Day weekend. After that is was very quiet. Saw a lot of deer and wild turkeys. My daughters had fun fishing at the lakes. Had fun sitting around campfire at night. Owner was very nice and helpful. We all enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed a little longer.

Summary: This cabin was extremely clean and well appointed. The house was well stocked with all the comforts of home. There was more than enough room for my family of 6. The cabin is very close to Clare for dining and a few cute shops. My 2 year old loved going to the well maintained community pool. Easy and quick communication with the owners, just a very comfortable and clean place. We will definitely be returning!

Summary: Nice home. Loved the location. Wooded and lots of wildlife. The house is spacious and nicely decorated. The hosts were prompt to answer questions and fix any problems. We will definitely book again.

Summary: Very spacious and clean. Very well equipped with most all accessories and incidental. We ran of barbecue gas so we contacted the owner who was able to take care of the issue within the hour.

Summary: We rented this cottage for 4 nights (arriving on a Monday afternoon 10/3/22 and departing on Friday, 10/7/22). Upon arriving the refrigerator was not functioning. Can you imagine not having a refrigerator to place 4 days of meals into upon arrival. We had to store our food for 2 1/2 days in a cooler we had brought with us, along with purchasing ice at our expense. The refrigerator did not start working on its own until Wed. morning. The hosts offered for us to use their small refrigeration unit in the basement. Unfortunately, we are elderly ladies, and going up and down steep steps to the basement 10 times a day was NOT an option for us. Along with the refrigeration problem, we did not have cable TV available. They had some system where you had to stream through your phone to get some kind of movies. Clearly this was beyond our scope of knowledge (TV situation not mentioned in VRBO listing). Lastly, the dishwasher did not turn on without us having to, once again, call the host and explain what was happening. Eventually it did start up. Either this house has some serious systemic electrical problems or the host is just trying to cut cost wherever possible. When a client rents a place they expect "everything" to be functioning. This was NOT the case in this rental. To top it all off, the hosts lived 3 hours away from the cottage so they were of NO help in fixing anything. Also, they did not have a handyman to assist us. In the opinion of myself and the other 2 guests involved in this rental, VRBO needs to do some serious investigating into this listing.
