Positive: The location was great. Close proximity to gas, supplies and restaurant. Waking up to the trees was lovely. The books and game community boxes were nice. Parking was great. Cool tiny cabin, but won’t rebook another stay based on the lack of AC, cleanliness and provided amenities. It just wasn’t a good overall value for the rental price and additional fees.
Negative: There is no AC, which isn’t mentioned in the listing description. The lack of AC was advised AFTER we booked, which was non-refundable at that point. The provided ceiling fans were inadequate to move enough air, to make the cabin temp comfortable. The ground bedroom fan is out of balance, causing it to shake with a noticeable tapping sound, making it difficult to fall asleep, but we cant turn it off bc of the temp. The toilet seat had a film on it and when I wiped it off with a paper towel, the towel was brown, so I cleaned the seat with purchased wipes. The floor is very dirty. Our bare feet and/or socks looked liked we walked around outside, so we ended up wearing our shoes and flip flops in the cabin to avoid having stained feet. The area rug in the upstairs bedroom is too soft and slippery. Unfortunately my husband bent down to pick up our child and ended up doing a split, hurting his knee, bc his foot slipped on the rug, and now he’s limping. The towels are child size, no bigger than a bath mat, they don’t cover an adult size body. There are no wash cloths. The listing says there is a hair dryer provided, however there is no actual hair dryer in the cabin. The cleaning staff confirmed wash cloths and a hair dryer weren’t provided in the cabins. Considering I was charged $200+ for a cleaning fee, I would expect an exceptionally clean rental. It’s a cool tiny cabin, but won’t rebook another stay based on the lack of AC, cleanliness and provided amenities. It just wasn’t a good overall value for the rental price and additional fees.
Summary: Visiting family and enjoy the location. Had higher hopes for the cabin.
