2 Bedroom Cabin in Scio

Nestled in its own 12 wooded acres. Perfect for some social distancing. We have a 2 story cabin includes kitchenette, bathroom, living room downstairs and two open loft style bedrooms upstairs.
SMK Cabin Rental is a cozy little cabin located 1.5 miles from Tappan Lake.
Two open loft style bedrooms upstairs. Kitchen, bathroom and living room downstairs.
Has central air and central heat.
Dish tv.
Hot tub
Gas grill and also a firepit outback.
Cell service is great with Verizon. Not sure about other carriers.
We are NOT a 5 star resort nor do we try to be one. We are a camping cabin in the middle of the woods. You may encounter wildlife, bugs ,etc on your trip.
We are located on our own 12 wooded acres. Guests are more than welcome to enjoy a hike in our woods to enjoy the nature.
We do not provide camp firewood. Must bring your own. Or send us a message and we can purchase firewood and have it ready for you.
We also take requests for firewood,decorations, flowers etc for birthdays, anniversaries, or just that special occasion.

Summary: I'll echo what every other great review has shared...this is a perfect little woodsy getaway! We walked in to a super, super clean, fresh smelling place. As a lot of review shared, there were decorations - and we were here for a little spring break stay-cation and enjoyed the April Easter decorations! Just adorable! The place truly has everything you need for a short stay - including tp, paper towels, cooking supplies, towels for the shower and hot tub (bring shampoo and soap for the shower). The hot tub was super clean, easy to use and temperature was easy to adjust! The back porch area was super peaceful, as was the front porch. There are not a lot of photos of the property, but there are steep hills all around - so not a lot of flat area and bring camping chairs if you want to sit around the fire pit (there is also a picnic table near the pit). There are stairs up to the loft area where you will see both beds - and a fan for temp comfort. Communication with the owner was wonderful and please, please book this place if you are looking for a place to unwind with total silence and beautiful scenery! :)

Summary: Secluded..everything you could want. Host was very quick to respond. Stocked with everything we needed and decorated cute for spring. Would definitely recommend to stay here. We had a nice relaxing stay.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay. Our only recommendation if you stay here is to bring your own pillow haha. Otherwise everything else was nice and we really enjoyed the Jacuzzi :)

Summary: Enjoyed sitting around the fire in this wooded, country setting. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. This cozy cabin had a grill on the porch as well as an oven for cooking or baking along with all the cookware and dishes you'd need. We also enjoyed a delicious meal out nearby at Christopher's in Cadiz. Dish TV was a plus. Thanks to the host for providing this relaxing retreat!

Summary: I have been to it twice. That should tell you something already. Always clean and decoration are always adorable. Working hot tub, my favorite part. It's a great, peaceful escape. I'll be going back as often as I'm able.

Summary: We have stayed here twice now, once in the summer and once in the winter. Both experiences were amazing and wonderful. My kids love coming here and it’s so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us. It’s close to home but far enough away to feel like we are out of state and in the mountains. The hot tub on the back porch surrounded by snow was my ultimate dream and I’m so happy we got to experience it. The owner is great to work with and very accommodating, quick to respond and available any time we had questions. We would highly recommend this place for a family getaway, girls weekend, or even a solo trip. Can’t wait to come back again!
