This is a two-bedroom log cabin with a loft that serves as an additional sleeping area. The loft has a full bed, a twin bed, and a full bath. On the main floor, the two bedrooms share a full bath. One room has a king bed while the other has a queen bed. This home is in a prime location, just off Poplar Grove Road, only 5 minutes back to Highway 105 in Boone, and 8 minutes to the main intersection in Boone. You can also easily reach Blowing Rock, either going through Boone or down Popular Grove Road to Shulls Mill Road. The owners added an air conditioner in the loft, which does a good job of cooling the loft and lets cool air drift down to the main floor for those rare days in the mountains where just a little cooling would be nice.

The living room has beautiful hardwood floors and a large leather sofa that could comfortably accommodate an 8th guest if you needed the room. Enjoy the large, flat-screen Smart TV, or just enjoy your company around a wood-burning stone fireplace. (Note: The living room sofa is not a pull-out sleeper sofa, but will nicely accommodate sleeping for one).

The kitchen floor is also hardwood, and it is very spacious and well outfitted with pots, pans, dishes, and other cookware that the owners thought would be helpful to have for all groups. They especially noted a large pot for cooking soups or spaghetti. There is a charcoal grill available as well.
The dining table comfortably seats 6 and enjoys nice views out the windows surrounding the kitchen. This home is located in a well-planned and neatly maintained log cabin community in Boone, North Carolina. One comment that we hear again and again from those who stay in this community is how they enjoy the peace and quiet. People love sitting on the porch in the early morning, enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee while listening to the occasional nickering of the horses grazing across the valley in the Yonahlossee Stables. Summary: The neighborhood is nice and quiet and located well for going into Boone. Also convenient to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. We will definitely stay again.

Summary: It was a good stay overall. There were a few issues. No can opener. No cofee filters. No flat (top) sheet on either of the queen beds in loft. This was the biggest issue because the comforters were not very clean. Its a nice property, but because of the lack of cleaning and issues, we will try another property next time. Tim

Summary: Overall the cabin was nice. Convenient location, easy to access, great porch, plenty of space for 3 adults. The weather was warmer than normal, and there are 3 window units in the property, which don’t cool the kitchen or den late in the afternoons. Some of the furnishings need to be upgraded (coffee pot, baking sheets, comforters, wood furniture, etc) and maybe a path along the driveway for getting in to your vehicle. We did enjoy our time and appreciate the use of the cabin.

Summary: Really enjoy sitting at the deck with the cool breeze. The dogs enjoyed running around the yard. Might need to drive a higher car to get there because the speed bump on the way to the cabin is not sedan friendly.

Summary: We had a thoroughly great time at our stay. We did have difficulty finding it though as it was around dusk and was kind of difficult to know which cabin it was. But once we got in and settled it was fantastic.

Summary: We had a great weekend and were very comfortable. My. husband and I, two teenage kids plus two dogs were in need of a long weekend get-away, and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. We had enough rough to spread out and be comfortable, while also enjoying the family time the ping pong table encouraged. Very clean, well appointed, would definitely come back!
