Summary: The cottage was cute if a little lacking in frills but certainly good enough for us. The area seems like mix of long term residents and agriculture. Very un Hamptons. Not many tourists or restaurants, lots of farm stands. As a brooklynite, farm stands plus grilling was a pretty rare treat.

Summary: I stayed at Eve's place with my husband and 2 kids( 2,5 and 6,5) for a month. It is perfect place for adults but it might be challenging with kids for long term stay . Shower area is too tight and water only comes from top faucet. Since it is too tight you get wet with cold water till you fix the right temperature to take shower . It was very unpleasant for kids. Washing machine and drier was outside the house. It was at the basement and we had to leave the house to be able to use it. Master bedroom's mattress was too soft for us. But other beds are comfortable. These were the only negative things we had experienced. Other than these , we had really great time staying at Riverhead at Eve's cottage. The place was clean, cozy , simple and walking distance to the beach. Eve was quick to respond what we needed. It was close to all restaurants, vineyards, stores , Tanger Outlets and nice towns like Sag Harbour, Greenport, Hamptons . The view from the cottage was amazing. The cottage was just as advertised. Beach towels and chairs were provided. It was fun to watch sunset at the cottage and by the beach. Overall very much enjoyed our stay and waiting for a reasonable quote for next summer :)). Ferhunde

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at Riverhead. The cottage was clean and close to Reeves beach where we watched glorious sunset every evening. The walk to the beach from cottage is short but quite steep as the cottage is on top of a small hill. I would have given the cottage five stars if the furniture were in good shape. It didn't affect our vacation much, except the queen mattress is too soft for me (130 lb) and my husband (175 lb). The shower area is quite small and tight. The area is very quiet and the cottage is in a nice neighborhood.

Summary: Eve was prompt and responsive when we couldn't get in, and had someone over to open up the door within a few minutes. The beds were comfortable and beach towels and chairs were provided, which saved us a lot of hassle. We enjoyed our stay!

Summary: Stayed at Eve's place with a few old friends from high school for a reunion getaway. The place was clean and comfortable, and very close to the beach (including those on the South Shore, an easy 20 minute day trip). Restaurants, vineyards, and stores all conveniently located nearby. We really enjoyed grilling outside in the picnic area, and the great views of the Sound. Neighborhood is quiet and very cute. Especially appreciated was the quick response to our initial inquiry -- that made the whole trip possible!

Summary: My family and I (wife and 2 kids) stayed here for the weekend and loved the views and the charm of this cottage! The short walk to the beach was fun and the beach was beautiful...even had a lifeguard which is great for the kids. This place has everything you need to enjoy a quiet weekend or week or longer away from your home. There was wifi for the kids for when it was raining and a great sun porch to enjoy the sun and the rain and our meals. We cooked breakfast and dinner one night but ordered pizza from Sals another. Hope to return for a fall and or winter get away too. Like I said COZY!

Summary: we had a great time at eve's place! she was flexible and quick to respond when we had questions. the place was simple and straight forward, no frills, but nice and clean and really all you need if you plan on spending a relaxing weekend at the beach (which is only a 3 minute walk down the street!). the place is also close to restaurants and wineries. can't wait to come back again!!
