The space
On the ground floor the glass gallery opens to the bright and spacious kitchen, which was once the cobbler's shop. The large living room gives way to the oriental bathroom next to the rounded wooden stairs that lead to the first floor. There you'll find two gracefully decorated bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a space for reading or working in the Internet.
The house is surrounded by an almost untouched green area next to the riverside.
The cottage is in a small historic village called Calo, in Vimianzo. Close by is Traba with a 2,500 meter long white sandy beach, perfect for surfing, snorkeling, nature lovers or for simply relaxing.
The owners live close by and are on hand to help make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable one.
Local attractions:
Penedos- the unique granite mountains, are within a small distance offering the opportunity for an unforgettable visit. These incredible formations, shaped by wind and water, resemble mythical creatures and are a must see!
Also, well worth a visit are local archaeological sites including the remains of ancient fortified settlements and Celtic dolmens.
In Vimianzo you can be delighted by the demonstrations of local traditional crafts in the medieval castle and on Thursdays you can enjoy the colour of our vibrant local market. There are also a variety of shops and culinary delights. The local cuisine lures with rustic feast and sophistication. A medical centre is also located in Vimianzo.

Summary: We were there 10 days, and was wonderfull, nice people, perfect situation, the house was completele full equiped and has all necesary things to stay like at your own home. "La costa de la Muerte" has many things to visit, good very good food in Galicia. the owners were very polite and the information the give as was excelent. For me this year the best tryp.

Summary: A lovely cottage, with a large garden nestled between the woods and a stream. The house feels more like a home than a holiday rental, and has been thoughtfully restored and is clean and well maintained, with everything you need. A car is a necesity. The Engilish speaking owners are friendly and helpful, and spared no trouble to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Nearby are beatiful sandy beaches, although the Atlantic waters are a bit chilly! Santiago is about 1½ hours drive – and is a must – as is a visit to A Coruña, or exploring the wild coast of the Costa da Muerte. Or you can spend lazy days in and around the cottage. Galicia is an undiscovered corner of Spain, and you will not often meet other tourists. Casa da Forxa would be ideal for families, romantic getaways, or anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday. But do bring your umbrellas!

Summary: This is a lovely villa nestling in the Galician countryside, a wonderful location for a family holiday. The villa itself is a very tastefully converted farmhouse with a brook at the end of the garden. The owners live nearby, and were very friendly and helpful. There are some very nice beaches nearby for swimming and also beautiful coastline for walking. We had no difficulty finding some nice places to eat in the coastal resorts, also worth visiting La Corunna for some very good seafood tapas. The family also enjoyed shopping in the craft workshops in the castello in Vimianzo. This is an authentic location. there are very few other foreign tourists in the area and a smattering of Spanish is useful. Great if you like peace and quiet and enjoy the company of your own party.

Summary: This beautiful house is located in pleasant little valley with a stream running near by. There is plenty of room here for a group of people of about six adults. The owners are very nice and friendly as well as helpful with tips and information about daily excursion points, shopping locations or any other interest you might have. The coast line is about a 10 min drive away. However I would recommend using the MTB's to explore the coastline on a daily basis. The terrain is a very hilly and rolling and should meet most serious bikers expectations. Our group consisted of 6 mountain bikers over a five day tour with lots of fun and excitement. I would highly recommend this vacation spot and hope to return soon!
