Positive: We loved the location.....everything within 15 mins. that we needed or wanted to do, especially being close to the Lake.
Negative: Well we were charged a cleaning fee upon booking and the place wasn't thoroughly cleaned, crumbs, dust and dirt under all the counter stuff and dirty under furniture and beds, with lots of spiders and webs inside and out. But the worst of all was finding a syringe, that was unacceptable. I will be notifying the owner.

Positive: We loved the sunroom area. My wife and I enjoyed our morning coffee and reading in the word together. We also loved the decor and the easy access to disney plus so we continue watching a series we enjoy! We enjoyed the close access to town and the family beach was only 10 minutes away. I also enjoyed how easy it was to communicate with Matt for questions.
Negative: We didn't love the idea that because we are on a certain side of the street we didn't have access to the beach. The main bed wasn't very comfortable, especially as my wife is pregnant. However, other than that we really enjoyed the cottage.

Positive: Everything! The cabin had two queen size beds, plus air mattresses. Everything we needed to stay was there, from kitchen and dining ware to pop-up camp chairs for the fire pit PLUS wood, firestarters and sticks for roasting marshmallows. We ran into a few neighbors who were very welcoming and friendly - we just happened to be there during Homecoming and the parade came up the street beside the property which was really cool! We have rented several different cabins in Houghton Lake over the past 25 years and this was by far our FAVORITE!! My sister-in-law stopped by and decided she would be happy to live there year-round lol
Negative: There was really nothing to not like, the driveway is a bit a a tight fit, but I was able to manage. The only other weird thing was when you turned on the light in the entry way/porch, the wifi would cut out - but who really needs to have wifi if you're on the porch - it just annoyed our 12 year old who was playing his game system which was a bit funny.
Summary: Out of all the cabins rented in Houghton Lake, this has been our Favorite!

Positive: The cabin layout was good. Clean and it had all that we needed. The location is pretty close to everythang if u need somethin.
Negative: Its just a tight spot as far as the driveway and not much yard. There is a picture in the add that give u the impression that the back yard goes to the lake..
Summary: All in all it was a good weekend..
