One of the clearest and most scenic springs in the area. I highly recommend renting a paddleboard and spending the day exploring the spring run and river — it’s peaceful, beautiful, and a true Florida gem.
2. Ichetucknee Springs
About a 25-minute drive, but absolutely worth it. Float down the crystal-clear Ichetucknee River on a tube — it’s relaxing, fun, and one of the best ways to experience Florida’s natural beauty.
3. Poe Springs
A quieter spot that’s great for swimming, picnics, and a slower pace. Perfect for families or a peaceful afternoon in the water.
4. Ginnie Springs
Famous for its vibrant blue water and underwater caves. Great for swimming, snorkeling, or just lounging by the spring. It can get busy, but it’s definitely worth seeing at least once.

Summary: Beautiful small town close to the springs and softball fields of Newberry. The home was a perfect oasis with kicking air conditioning and plenty of space for everyone. I'd definitely come again if we're in the area.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs and it was perfect. It was very spacious (bigger than what we needed) with three bedrooms and an open floor plan in the living room/kitchen. The backyard is mostly fenced with a firepit. They have all the amenities you would need for a trip. Very close to multiple different springs/state parks. We explored a few springs and hiking trails while there! The host is available and maintains contact in case there’s anything you need. Checking in and out were seamless. Thank you!!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay; very close to downtown High Springs and within 5 miles or so of Gilchrist, Poe, and Rum Island springs. The house was clean, the AC was cold, and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and appreciated the pantry goods that were available. A few things to work on: The yard was fully fenced, but not gated, so clarification in the description of the property would be helpful; sparkling clean windows would improve the view; add the finishing touches on the new flooring to pull it all together.

Summary: House was super clean and well-equipped. Some recent upgrades and conversions. It is an older house and the neigborhood is a bit run-down, but it was perfect for what we were looking for - a place close to friends for out-of-town Christmas dinner.

Summary: All and all it was worth the money. The only complaints we had was the master BR is s converted garage with a 4" step down trip hazard. Furniture wasn't comfortable, Old appliances, Small bowl toilet, No Tv channels and we couldn't get on to the wi-fi easily. Needs an info sign or folder with passwords local attractions, what outside trash can to use at the end of the road and what to do when leaving etc..
