Positive: Old traditional house. A charming house, beautiful and in a very quiet area. Fresh air and pure water. Hiro, the host, and his assistant Marie (a small gentle dog) are very kind. Hiro gave us some nice tips and restaurant recommendations. We felt right at home.

Positive: Staying at Hiro's place was hands-down one of the best parts of our trip to Nikko! Hiro is an incredible host who genuinely goes out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable and having a great time. We actually got lost on the way, and he didn’t hesitate to come out and guide us to the property (to be fair I didn't read the directions he gave me properly the first time 😅). The property itself is amazing. It’s a beautiful, traditional Japanese house with a zen garden and a koi pond. Hiro thought of everything, from indoor slippers provided by Hiro to split-system air-conditioning in the rooms, which kept us super warm during winter. The onsen was incredible, and the dry-off room was a game changer—it was so warm and cozy, perfect after a bath. What made it even better was Hiro himself. He’s so friendly, kind, and funny. We instantly felt like we were at home. He gave us amazing recommendations for places to eat, temples to visit, and even told us about a nearby onsen we never would have found otherwise. Thanks to him, our second day in Nikko was way better than we’d planned. We honestly can’t recommend staying here enough. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, culture, and amazing hospitality. If you’re visiting Nikko, do yourself a favour and book a stay with Hiro—you won’t regret it! P.S. Marie-chan is the most adorable amazing sweetest little angel ever. If you're not a dog person it's okay because all of the guest facilities and rooms are in a different part of the complex, if you are a dog person, then you're in for a treat!

Positive: This place is wonderful. The house is a typical japanese home, with your private room with a futon that you can prepare by yourself. There are also a shared kitchen and living room but especially there is a little but very cute onsen where you can relax after your trip in the Nikko area. Hiro, the host, is a very kind man that is super friendly and available for all your needs. He come to the train station to pick us the day of our arrival and he has accompanied us the next monday on time for our train. I really recommend this place, it is a real oasi of quite inside Japan.

Positive: The property is a traditional Japanese home that even comes with an onsen! The facilities are very clean and very comfortable.
Negative: The property might be a little far from the train station, but Hiro-san graciously offered to shuttle us back and forth from the nearest station any time we requested.
