Amazing lake front getaway, steps away from the waters edge. Ideal getaway for couples or a small family. Large yard to play and roast marshmallows and the docks are great to jump in and enjoy the refreshing lake! Remodeled in 2020, hypoallergenic floors, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, luxury bedding, queen sleeper sofa. Fully furnished kitchen, gas grill, dine inside or on the deck. Bring your boat/jet skis and keep at community dock. Boat ramp/marina minutes away. Beautiful sunrise/sunsets from covered porch and dock. Hiawassee has tons to offer shops, spas, winery, water sports, fishing and Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds!

Stay & play a little longer for $75! If no new guests are checking in on your day out, we can change your check-out time from 10AM to 6PM. You can get in an extra fishing trip, or just sleep in & do a late lunch! Or we can do it the other way around to get you early check-in, 10AM instead of 4PM. Summary: This property is so nice, relaxing and peaceful. My English Bulldog absolutely LOVED being here! We stayed out on the boat fishing and cruising the lake for two days. WILL be back for sure!!

Summary: We are repeat visitors.. always wonderful and relaxing. We stay here because it was pet friendly but this year we lost our 13 year old Schnauzer Millie. It was hard being there without her but good with memories too.

Summary: First, the owner has stocked the chalet with all the kitchen utensils and dishes needed for a short stay, including dog bowls! (We only really missed our tea kettle/electric kettle.) Also there are all the blankets and pillows and sheets and towels and such you'd want, even given that it's a lakeside chalet in the mountains. The rooms are quite spacious. The lakeside deck has a handrail and gate so all but the smallest dogs (or climber kids) would be safe out there. For us older folks, do be aware that there are stairs at both entries and a step up into the shower (no bathtub.) The outside could use a bit of paint and knocking the cobwebs down more often, and we let the owner know she needed an exterminator to take care of the few roaches we found roaming inside, so that probably won't be a problem again.

Summary: We enjoyed the cottage and will book again if we get the chance. It had all the comfort and conveniences of home, and the setting was beautiful on Lake Chatuge. I wish the weather had been nicer. We would have loved sitting around the fire pit.
