Summary: A woodsy, quiet and serene location with a lovely cottage provided the most peaceful stay for our family of five (our 3 littles shared one bedroom). The connected screened-in porch was our favorite for enjoying the mornings/nights, hearing sounds of nature or the rain in the woods. The table out there provided another place to do meals and hours of coloring for kids. When too tired to explore, our boys adored the small reading bench and comfy couch in the family room. We couldn’t get over the beauty of the property, with the small ravine/creek running though the land that our kids could explore, to the TWO outdoor fire pits (one gas, one wood), and the most amazing treehouse/screened in beauty in the woods. The kitchen was stocked with everything, including a coffee maker/grinder and a complimentary pound of coffee to help us keep up with our kids. Bikes and beach items (umbrella, inflatable, 2 chairs, 1 picnic table, etc) for our use was a big help, and the small touches added convinced us Amy and Brian really had thought of everything. The feel of the home + decor was beautiful, elevating the experience from “lake cabin” to an exquisite cottage with tons of natural light, hardwood floors, soft textiles, and windows everywhere (that opened!!) to enjoy the surrounding beauty. The location was nice and quiet, and it took approx. 6-8 min to bike to the nearest beach with kids in tow. In such a quiet location, the only people we ever saw were the occasional walkers/runners along the not-too-close road. We really enjoyed exploring many beaches nearby, the bakery up the street, and the blueberry patch down the road. It was a joy to stay, I only regret not staying there longer than 5 nights!!

Summary: We had a great stay at Amy and Brian's cottage. The house and property is as described/pictured -- clean, cozy, and quiet. Things that stand: well stocked kitchen; awesome screened porch; and a wide-ranging record collection as well as a few Sonos speakers. Got lucky with the weather during our late April trip and easily walked to the beach with a 4 yr. old in under 10 mins... passing a family of deer along the way. Other things we enjoyed in and around the area: Greenbush Brewing Co. (and the Annex across street) in Sawyer, Froelich’s Bakery & Deli in Three Oaks, and Stover's Farm in Berrien Springs. Amy and Brian are accommodating and responsive hosts, recommend booking without hesitation... 5 star!

Summary: After years of renting cottages in Harbor Country, my search is over for the best place to stay, and look forward to renting again...maybe when the weather's cooler & we can cozy up by the fireplace. No complaints about our summer stay. What's not to like about the screened-in porch, listening to the birds & feasting on nature surrounding the cottage. Not to forget music to grill by...the Sonos system. Hang on...that's great, but after dinner? What's on TV? Well, the owners deliver on that front, too, with Apple TV & Netflix. Though Apple TV might be a little challenging for renters like us, the owners readily helped us make it work. Kitchen was fine for cooking & baking & well-stocked with cookware, utensils, glassware & even things like Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, etc. For getting closer to nature, there's a treehouse on the property that's large enough to accommodate a table (and a chandelier over it!). Fun place for game playing, cocktail hour or overnighting in a sleeping bag? I just hope the owners keep renting this very special cottage.

Summary: We had a great time in SW Michigan and will definitely be back to this cozy house in Harbet. Amy was quick to reply and so helpful getting ready for our visit. The house is in a great location with beautiful fall views all around. It was such a comfortable place to stay, beautifully decorated, clean and close to all the outdoor things we wanted to do. We enjoyed the screened in porch, fireplace and SONOS sound system. The house has everything you could need, just bring whatever you plan to cook and relax.

Summary: This adorable cottage was wonderful as our home away from home! Had everything we needed, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of nature around... saw twin fawns walk thru the yard down to the creek, hummingbirds, goldfinch, beautiful and peaceful! Amy answered all my questions, and was very attentive when I needed her! Would love to stay again, Thank you Amy!

Summary: We walked in and relaxed. We brought stuff we never needed because Amy had the house so well prepared. Not just clean but all the furniture is comfortable; the beds/mattresses were "Westinish", the kitchen well stocked. Then you walk outside as the deer leap across the creek and our grandkids played in the "treehouse". You wont regret staying here that is for sure.

Summary: Our family spent a long weekend at Amy and Brian's quiet cottage near Lake Michigan and enjoyed every minute. The cottage is close to many things in Harbor Country and Cherry Beach is a wonderful little beach area. Amy was very helpful and accommodating with the arrangements and offered suggestions of things to do. My favorite part though was just relaxing in the great screened in room and watching the deer visit the backyard. I definitely hope to return again!
