The Beach Barn sits in the quiet woods, at the base of a dune, with direct access and a short walk to a beautiful private Harbert Beach on Lake Michigan. Part of a small association, with a handful of longtime residents, the area has a rich tradition of quiet family gatherings, appreciation for nature, and a casual and respectful attitude towards neighbors. Renters of The Beach Barn will be expected to align with these core values, and will be welcomed and appreciated by others in the area. The home itself has ample space for the whole family to spread out and relax. You will enjoy the large enclosed patio with fireplace. The second floor offers four bedrooms, including a second master suite, a guest room with a king bed, a guest room with two twin beds, a bunk room that sleeps 8, three full baths, washer/dryer, and a rec room with a video game machine, pool table and plenty of room to relax. Summary: The kitchen was large enough for our family of 11 to gather and cook together every day. The large lower level windows provided a beautiful view of the woods and morning deer sightings! Bedrooms and bathrooms were thoughtfully laid out. There was more than enough room for everyone to have their own space. The kids loved the bunk room. Several nights we all hung out in the game/media room. The outdoor pool and hot tub were a plus for mornings and nights at the house. Most days we enjoyed being on the beach. It was a quick and easy walk to the beach through the woods. The private beach was great and provided the family plenty of room to spread out and play. Supplied beach towels and a washer and dryer were a plus! It was wonderful to feel so close to nature at the house, yet so easy to get to local restaurants and shops.

Summary: The accommodations were even more spacious and beautiful than the pictures! The huge multi-purpose/game room was the perfect place for our kids to hang-out and play; the pool was lovely; the beach was uncrowded with soft sand and beautiful, clean Lake MI water; I could go on and on! Just wonderful!!!

Summary: This is the first rental property that I have not been disappointed in when walking through the door. It is just as the pictures portrayed. The pool, hot tub and fire pit were fabulous. The setting was beautiful and the private beach was gorgeous. Our family loved every aspect of this property.

Summary: We had a wonderful time. Lovely pool, well equipped kitchen, lots of sleeping options and places to hang out for our small group of 7! The nearby beach is great for long walks and very wide and Sandy! Beach chairs and umbrella would be a welcome addition! It’s a 10!

Summary: The beach barn is a perfect place for a big group. The house is immaculate and the location is in the middle of what seems to be a forest while only a short walk to Lake Michigan and nearly perfect beaches. Pam was very responsive to our questions and our family enjoyed our time so much.

Summary: We are a family of three generations who travel together once a year on a beach vacation. The Beach Barn with its beautiful property served all of our needs. The surrounding property was so much fun with visits from deer, the peaceful walk to the beach and the fun pool and hot tub. The inside of the house is perfect for a large family of diversified ages. Everything we needed was right there on the property. Pam was very easy to reach and her responses were always quick. We all agreed that this vacation ranked very high on our long list of travel experiences.
