Five-acre property is ideal for a family reunion with RV's and tents pitched in the back pasture by the river. Owner actually LIVES here part-time, so it's truly a home, not 'just' a rental.

Summary: My wife and I enjoyed this property. We've had I think 22 or 23 VRBO uses since 2004 and we both agreed this was our most enjoyable. Very relaxing, enjoyed the wildlife on and near the property. Deer appeared every day and just hung out. All amenities on site. Thx.

Summary: We came to the area to join a family get-together and found this gem. Very spacious but cozy and comfortable, great and fully supplied kitchen, great for cooking dinner for guests, lovely location right on the river. Very dog friendly, which is in important for us since we like to travel with our pup. Quiet and peaceful. It's quite a trek to get groceries and such but that's what you get when you want to be out in the country. Owner was promptly responsive to our questions and problems. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We have vacationed here many times now and loved each and every stay. We made great use of the river access, fishing and swimming most of our days. The kitchen has everything you need to home cook meals, and the house is comfortable. We always enjoy sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife. Truly, a beautiful, serene place to get away!

Summary: Four old fishing buddies hung out for a couple of days, and were totally comfortable with this clean, we'll equipped place. Suzanne was responsive and helpful. Not fancy, but perfect for what we wanted. I expect we'll be back.

Summary: We had another nice stay at this property. We love the river access and big open field that allows our group to camp with their trailers. There were some dead bugs and cobwebs in the bedrooms and the outdoor chairs and bbq needs some cleaning but overall it was a good stay and we will be back again.

Summary: Beautiful Country . The older double wide thankfully had shaded decks since it was in the upper 90s . The place is comfortably furnished, full of fun bits and pieces on every surface . This is a get away place not a 5 star hotel , but good for relaxing . The TV package is good, the beds and pillows are comfy , the kitchen has scads of dishes, wine glasses, coffee mugs, every tool , appliance ever invented by man . It was hoot . I did a steak and thought gee wish I had a Meat Tenderizer ...looked a bit in the drawers , of course there was one. The frig ice maker doesn't work , there are a few ice cube trays or just pick up a sack and stick in the freezer in the extra frig in the laundry room. We did take our own water as rec. by the owner, and if you are a coffee drinker there is a Mr. Coffee and a French Press, and a Keurig , but you need to take your own K pods 9 . The WIFI worked fine, there is a printer ( we didn't use it ) and a phone which allows for calls nation wide , so if you are working "from home " this may be important. You may also want to take lounge chairs, there are several upright outdoor chairs but no recliners. Due to unseasonable heavy rain and rapid snow melt the property's river access trail ( complete with ropes to hang on to as you go down / and esp. nice going up the switch back trail) was extremely muddy and fishing not up to regular Umpqua level even for the guided trips . The mini deer herd didn't seem to mid at all, and visited each evening . The local ( Tyee ) store/grill is only open on the weekends right now so Elkton or Southerlin are your closest bets for a mid week meal out . I wouldn't suggest taking bikes for kiddos ( unless using just on the property) , there is a great deal of logging truck activity on the narrow road. Appreciated pets being allowed, our little Havanese loved watching the deer .
