Comfortable, one of a kind, hand-built log cabin on 10 acres in the North Woods. Amenities include wrap around deck, electricity, hot water, kitchenette with cooking, refrigerator/freezer, private outdoor hot water shower, heater and Wi-Fi.. We rent a clean, private and accessible porta-pottie. There is NO indoor bathroom. The cabin is part of our family homestead, there are other occupied dwellings on the property - all have space and privacy. The cabin is directly behind the main house.
Close to Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, the Platte and Betsie Rivers, Crystal Mountain, the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, Frankfort and Traverse City. Not kid friendly or handicapped accessible.

Summary: Great place, beautiful area. Nice people. It was nice to mix wirk with a little wilderness and have my wife and two dogs. Thanks for letting us stay!

Summary: This cabin is such a gem, even more so knowing the story of it, a bonding experience for a girl and her father. It was amazingly peaceful, and the spotty service made it easier to unplug. The horses across the way were a bonus. The outdoor shower was fantastic. I didn’t realize there was no indoor plumbing-I think that might have been in the fine print-but the Johnny on the spot was clean and the owner was thoughtful in providing flashlight and bug spray. My GPS wasn’t entirely accurate, so I did get a little lost finding the way, but once there, it was easy to find again. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Summary: Absolutey loved the cabin! The outside shower was fabulous along with the front porch and all the attention to details. Vert comfortable bed with supplied robes hanging on the wall. Even had a fresh bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table. Also had a chance to chat with Kelsey. Wonderful stay would love to visit again. :)

Summary: Listing is true to the space. Very quiet area even with the owners on the property. All questions were promptly answered. A wide variety of birds can be seen from deck. If you’re concerned about the porta potty, don’t be. Hands down the cleanest one I’ve ever seen. Absolutely would stay again.

Summary: From the porch to the fire pit and then a cozy bed, we had the most relaxing time in such a cute little cabin! All our requests were granted and we had everything we needed. The location was great, yet there were restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive. We loved our little slice of heaven❤️

Summary: Overall loved this place!! Beautify property and land. Even though the property was right behind the owner's home it still seemed private and secluded. Everything was very accurate, the outdoor shower was great. Porta Potty wasn't bad, but a little chilly when we were there in the 50 degree weather. Loved the stay - THANKS

Summary: Great cabin for a weekend trip to the area! Enjoyed the outdoor shower and kitchenette area, nice porch and comfortable bed. We had plenty of things planned for the weekend, so this was great to come back to for the night
