Welcome to our cozy cabin nestled in the heart of Oneida County. We are steps from picturesque Bluegill Lake, a private lake with 21 acres of crystal-clear water surrounded by towering trees. Kayaks, paddleboat and swimming raft included. Fish for bass and bluegill right from the dock!
Escape the city but still be close to many restaurants, bars, shops etc.
Less than a mile from Bass Lake boat launch and less than 7 miles from Lake Tomahawk boat launch on the Chain of Lakes.
This well loved and maintained cabin is the prefect space for families or couples to enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer. We have made many updates including a brand new composite deck, new flooring, updated bathroom, new appliances and new furniture. Enjoy the spacious back yard with a gentle slope to the lake where you'll find a private pier, paddle boat, kayaks and a swimming raft.
A gas grill, fully stocked kitchen and gas range/stove make it easy to cook at home and enjoy a meal on the deck under the stars. If you would rather go out we are less than six miles from Lake Tomahawk, 12 miles from Saint Germain, 15 miles from Minocqua and 20 miles from Rhinelander.

Summary: Our family stayed 3 nights over the 4th of July. Cabin was very clean and fully stocked with anything one could possibly need. Host (Jana) was wonderful and very responsive. Fishing was very good even right off the pier. Kids loved the paddleboat and kayaks along with all the wildlife on the lake. We would recommend this peaceful gem tucked in the woods and hope to make it back to the “Novy Nest” sometime!

Summary: Lovely stay, relaxing. It was nice that it was on a small lake and the back deck was special. What impressed me most was that it was remodeled and everything seemed practically new. Big enough for a small family, nice swimming area; we relaxed and did things in the area. You are close to other houses there, but we never saw anyone. Very quiet location. you!

Summary: Very nice cottage on a small private lake. The interior is comfortable and the bedrooms are nice sized with quality linens. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare and cook meals. The deck outside is huge and has great views of the lake. There is a very nice sand beach with a picnic table and chairs. The paddleboat was amazing! I was solo on this trip and had no problem paddling around the lake by myself.

Summary: A friend and I came up to run a race in Minocqua and decided to just make a weekend out of it. This cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. The host was super responsive and really nice. The cabin has a great view of the little lake from the deck. We went out several times on the paddle boat and did really well catching lots of pretty good size blue gills and even landed a small northern as well as a few medium size Large mouth, which was a pleasant surprise for such a small lake. We also met 'Gil' the giant snapping turtle. So cool! Would return and highly recommend for a place to stay in this area.

Summary: Great little cabin close to the town of Lake Tomahawk and a little more than 1/2 hour to Minocqua or Rhinelander. Cottage was so clean and well decorated, and nicely updated in many ways. Peaceful lake and setting. Nice neighborhood, but private and so nice to just sit out on the deck and take in nature, the fresh air, and great view.

Summary: We had planned on a weekend filled with swimming, boating and campfires but the weather had other plans. All day rain kept our crew mostly indoors. Everyone was still in good spirits as we found ways to stay entertained. The house was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials (although we couldn’t find any sugar for the morning coffee). A trip to The Key to Escape in Minocqua was the perfect activity for 3 teens on a rainy day. Although the lake is small, it provided just the right amount of serenity we were hoping for!

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our kids, ages 9 & 6, repeatedly said, "this is the best vacation ever!" The cabin is ver tidy and fully stocked, and just all around cozy. We plan to come back next summer! Only thing I would change is I wish we booked a longer stay. Thank you for a beautiful time with our family!

Summary: I stayed at Novy's nest for a quick trip to the area. Thr host was great at communicating before and during my stay. The cabin was clean and really organized; the location is amazing and the lake is beautiful! Overall a great stay and a beautiful place!
