1 Bedroom Cottage in Scotts

Cute lakefront cottage on all-sport Pickerel Lake near Portage, Michigan. Come relax at this quiet lake with a sandy beach at your doorstep. This quaint one bedroom cottage has everything you need for a memorable getaway for a couple or a small family.
There is a paddle boat, two kayaks, beach toys and games for outdoor play. Unwind in the hammock or beach loungers during the day. Tell stories and roast marshmallows around the firepit at night.
Good fishing lake for Bluegill, Bass and Pike.
Our lakefront cottage has a private sandy beach and is located in Southwest Michigan about 2 hours away from Chicago and Detroit, and 1 hour from Grand Rapids. It is very peaceful and quiet and, at the same time, the area has much to offer including restaurants, kid's activities, shopping and golf within a 10 minutes' drive or less. Several beautiful parks and nature areas with trails to explore close by.
Pickerel Lake is a 135 acre shallow all-sport lake. It warms up quick and our beach is perfect for children to play and swim and for floating around on inflatables. There is a boat launch down the road if you want to bring your own boat.
This lakefront cottage offers one bedroom, living room, kitchen/dining area, a bathroom with a shower, and a large three season porch.
The bedroom has a queen bed and a twin trundle. Both mattresses are memory foam. There is a dresser for clothing storage.
Living room has a flat screen tv, board games, adult and kid's books. There is a futon that folds down into a twin bed.
Dining area includes a table with seating for 4.
Kitchen has a refrigerator with a freezer, a toaster oven, and a hot plate with 2 burners. There is a coffee maker and a tea kettle. Coffee, tea, creamer and sugar are provided for your convenience.
You will also find pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses (including wine glasses) and various utensils. There are baby spoons and forks and plastic dinnerware and cups if you wish to eat outside.
Other cooking essentials available at the cottage - oil, cooking spray, salt/pepper and a few herbs and spices, ketchup, mustard, mayo.
There is a small Charcoal grill for outdoor use (charcoal provided). Great lakeside firepit area (wood not provided).
We also supply Beach towels, bath and hand towels, extra linens, blankets and pillows.

Summary: Kozy In was quaint, clean, and comfortable. The email instructions for getting in were easy to follow. Irina had it stocked with towels, shampoo, body wash, tissues, coffee mate, lotion, coffee, etc. I took the kayak out twice. The only suggestion for improvement would be to get rid of the sulfur smell in the water. We bought bottled water to drink and make coffee. We had a great stay.

Summary: I am originally from Kalamazoo, but live in the south now. I needed time away from the heat and found this property last minute online. This darling little cottage suited me perfectly! Irina was very responsive beforehand and even while I was there with questions. The kitchen was stocked with all of the basics that I needed – – even though I brought a lot of my own seasonings and different items, there was so much already there! The property was so clean and I think they thought of everything! I’m one day back home in Nashville now and all I can think about all day Is this sweet little cottage on the water. I loved the close proximity to Kalamazoo, my family and all my friends. I will definitely be back!

Summary: Clean and cute property exactly as described and pictured. It was incredibly convenient to have towels and linens provided and having some toiletries, coffee, creamer, condiments provided was just icing on the relaxation cake! We took the kayaks out for a spin otherwise my husband fished for fun (he threw them back) and I floated in the water. He brought his pole but there was one at the cottage. Basically everything you need is provided - floaties, check; games, check; television/cable/netflix, check; a/c, check. There was nothing that we were needing so we could just go into town for groceries and proceed to relax. I will mention that the other cottages are close but everyone kept to themselves and were pleasant. My husband got bitten up by what we believe are sand fleas but there was bug spray provided that we didn't use so our fault. My husband adds to make sure to 'harass' the geese at night to ensure they don't poo poo all over the dock. Irinia was incredibly nice and responsive. We would absolutely book again - a nice long weekend away from the Grand Rapids hustle and bustle.
