We have created the ideal vacation spot, basking in warming sunshine and relaxation in pine-scented serenity - with pleasures galore for the entire family.
Creekside Cottage is a charming rustic circa 1935 cottage located on over an acre of land on a quiet dead-end road that runs along the pristine Esopus Creek. The cottage sits amongst towering trees just feet from the water with your own private 10' x 16' dock where you may fish, swim, canoe or spread out on our expansive lawn to play frisbee or catch a ball. Two picnic tables, a fire pit and BBQ grill are included in Creekside for outdoor dining. A screened-in porch facing the water provides a perfect place to read that favorite book, play cards or just take an afternoon nap. You'll sleep like a baby on a comfortable, clean luxurious mattress and soft high quality sheets and pillows.
Please note there is a train nearby that occasionally goes past. It is not very close to our property and we have never received a complaint about noise but we wanted to give full disclosure.
Creekside is complete with a hot shower, toilet, automatic heat, 42" High Definition color TV, DVD player, A/C and wireless internet. Creekside Cottage is conveniently located near Woodstock and just 6 miles from the Rhinecliff Train Station which brings you into New York City.
Although you'll feel nestled privately in the countryside, casual and fine dining as well as an abundance of stores and shops are just 5-10 minutes away.

Summary: My husband , myself and our daughter stayed at Creek Cabin. It was the perfect location for the NYS Fair grounds at Rheinbeck. We go to the sheep and wool festival every year. This property gave my husband a tranquil place to fish and enjoy or dog while my daughter and I had time at the festival. Warm and cozy meet all of our needs. Linda and Jaime were wonderful making sure we had everything we needed. Even provided my pup with a dog bed. We will be back next year!

Summary: My family and I had a nice time during our stay. This was our first VRBO and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Linda and Jim made themselves available for anything that we needed, although we didn’t really need anything. Having the creek next to the property was nice, we enjoyed it! Although there is a train line nearby, we did not find it to be intrusive or overly loud. The house was very quaint and kept very clean, with nice fire pit and charcoal grill outside. The bottle of wine was a nice touch as well. Everything we could have wanted was provided for us and we are thankful for Linda and Jim’s hospitality.

Summary: Excellent cottage/cabin right on the river, perfect for a fall respite. Our hosts were communicative and clear and made sure to extend lovely hospitality and special touches. Would recommend!

Summary: The cabin had everything one needs in a space—easy to use Kitchen, beds, cozy places to sit, etc.—but it was those extra touches that made it special: waking up every morning with a cup of coffee and the sounds of the river, river access for cooling off on hot days, a covered porch to sit and listen to the rain (and avoid the bugs). The location was remote without having to suffer the drawback of being remote; Kingston was a 10 minute drive away and the other Hudson valley towns not much further. The owners were friendly and helpful and communicative—I’ll definitely stay here again if I ever make it back up to the Hudson Valley.
