Fully renovated 1870 cottage on the Perkiomen Creek. Great for the outdoor lover! Fish for bass from the backyard, swim in the private in-ground pool, or take a walk or bicycle ride on the 19 mile long Perkiomen Trail, right outside the front door! Green Lane park is behind the property, where you'll find boat and kayak rentals, great hiking trails and a beautiful place to picnic. Come home to a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom with clawfoot tub, and fire pit for evening relaxation.
Such a charming cottage! Enter into the spacious galley kitchen with granite counters, gas cooking, stainless appliances including microwave and dishwasher. We provide all needed items for cooking, and you'll even enjoy a view of the Perkiomen Creek from the windows and restored Dutch door while you're preparing your meals! A coffee station awaits you, complete with Keurig, drip and French press options.
Two living spaces are downstairs, along with a dining room that seats six. The living room has a comfy sofa with chaise and Smart TV, while the separate den (which can be closed off as an additional private bedroom) contains a pullout sofa, 50" Smart TV, DVD player, a selection of games, along with a cozy electric fireplace for those chilly evenings. The spacious bathroom features a clawfoot tub where you can relax and enjoy a long soak after your hike. For those who need to attend to work obligations while they're away, there is a desk and chair available away from the common living areas. Front load washer and dryer are here for your use, completing the main floor.
Upstairs you'll find two cozy bedrooms. The master features a queen size luxury I-comfort Serta mattress, handy bedside reading lamps and Qi chargers. There's a twin room with two single beds just across the hall.
Outside you’ll find a small yard with 100 feet of frontage on the Perkiomen Creek, a 14 x 29 in-ground pool complete with with noodles and floats, along with a fire pit for evening relaxation. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, barring any unseasonable weather or acts of God. The cottage is right on the main road through town, with easy access to nearby attractions.

Summary: The house was exactly as I expected from the pictures. It was spotless and very cozy. The property owner was very communicative and responded quickly to our one issue. Cannot recommend this location enough!

Summary: Great vacation spot with a pristine pool and amazing wildlife. The Bald Eagle flew right over the pool TWICE! There were also resident geese at the creek and a Blue Heron. My only suggesstion would be for the house to have a guest welcome binder or sheet with AC operating instructions, trash day notice, local business recommendations, and check out proceedures.

Summary: Myself, my husband and three kids 18, 16 and 9 visited from Ireland to see family in the area. Creekside cottage was absolutely brilliant and charming from start to finish. The gorgeous clean smell, the pretty touches, decor and attention to detail allowed us to have fantastic holiday, stress free and with hours of valuable family time spent in the pool .. the rare activity that all ages enjoy! .. The area itself has lots to offer and is also central to many other attractions. Jeff communicates quickly and easily, we felt very confident staying at the property. It was stocked perfectly we needed nothing. Thrilled we got so lucky and I highly recommend as a base for travelling or as a cosy getaway!!

Summary: My family of four, including our 17 year old daughter and 7 year old daughter, went on vacation the last week of Aug 28- Sept 4. We had booked the cottage in February when we were trying to find a covid safe vacation that we all could enjoy. The cottage was even better in person, it was quaint, and furnished with everything you could need. My teen took over the den, and enjoyed not having to share a room with her much younger sister. We did day trips to outlets, the Crayola Factory, and the Franklin Institute. We also had lazy days by the pool, and our 7 year old experienced Dairy Queen ice cream for the first time , and wished there was one near us at home. The pool was well maintained and the fence gave us privacy. Jeff communicated Tuesday that it appeared the area was going to have record rain. He asked us to move the yard furniture and trash barrels just in case the stream rose. Wednesday morning the predictions seem to be worse, we let Jeff know we were heading to Philadelphia for the day and we would stay in a hotel that night just to be cautious. He agreed that was the best plan. Unfortunately Jeff called the next morning to let us know that the stream rose to record heights and the home had waist high water. When we returned that afternoon to gather our belonging, which 90% we had taken with us, or was on the second floor, we could have never been prepared for the destruction. The pool we had just relaxed in the day before was destroyed. Jeff was more than helpful , trying to rescue and set aside any of our belongings he found. Jeff refunded us the days lost, and for food and belongings . He was truly amazing to work with. My family and I look forward to see the renovations and hopefully to plan another trip.

Summary: This adorable cottage was just the getaway we needed. The home is impeccably furnished and very thoughtfully stocked (ample pots, pans, cooking utensils & appliances (toaster, blender), bath & pool towels, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, board games, charcoal grill, a yoga mat, hiking sticks). The pool and pool area were perfect- great sized & clean, various floaties, a large umbrella and chairs available. The creek in front of the house is beautiful and calm. We enjoyed fishing from the bank and making s'mores by the firepit. Check-in was very smooth & Jeff was very communicative when I had a few questions throughout our week. Upon arrival, there was a binder providing info on local sites & eats and a caddy stocked with s'more supplies- a very nice touch! The cottage is on a busy road, but when in the house it wasn't noticeable. It was pretty hot during our week and there were AC units in each window. It got a little hot upstairs during the day but cooled down nicely in the evening- the units were a little noisy but we got used to them :). I'm not sure why the listing only shows 1 bedroom- there are definitely 2 bedrooms: 1 with a queen bed & 1 with two twin beds. Also, if you need darkness to go to sleep (like my kids do) I recommend bringing something to blackout the windows. The shades are more sun shades than providing any light blocking.
