Positive: We liked everything. The owners were extra nice and efficient at check in. The hotel is a beautifully built and decorated venue surrounded by lush rainforest. Rooms are accessed by large verandas where you can just sit, relax and listen to the birds, the wind or the rain. An ample common room with coffee, a fridge and microwave is provided. Delicious homemade breakfast served at 8.30.

Negative: The access road is steep and partially unsealed and might be tricky in the wet season.

Negative: No BBQ equipment or cooking at all. Personally think it would benefit having some kind of area to cook and a sink.

Positive: Tranquility and relaxing. The breakfasts were amazing. We had been advised there were limited places for lunch or dinner and to bring supplies. What we did not expect was for Robbie to take the supplies and prepare dinner for us. That went beyond expectations.

Positive: Excellent location, just across the river. Convenient if you had a long drive. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious. Charmaine was extremely helpful, answered all of our questions, and offered tips. We only were there to sleep and eat since we had full days out exploring. It was a bit rainy so it was wonderful to have the big deck overhang. It was nice having the common area to store and heat food. This BNB was an incredible value compared to the other places in the area.

Negative: Charmaine was on her own and handled everything well. It was humid and difficult to sleep without AC, even with the fan. There was a young couple who were not aware of the thin walls and were talking noisily, late into the night. The bedrooms are close together and if you left doors open for air, you could easily hear everything. We did not sleep well. They are off the grid and I believe they generate all their own energy. The lighting was very dim, difficult to see. They were in the middle of remodeling the area where the hosts live and stairs.

Summary: Good value for simple accommodations, ecologically sustainable.
