They lie within the footings of 13th century Aros Castle once occupied by the Lords of the Isles. The Dairy & Castle Cottages offer a comfortable relaxing venue in which to enjoy spectacular scenery, wildlife e.g. White Tailed Sea Eagles, Otters, Golden Eagles, Deer, Bottlenose Dolphins and being approximately 100 yards from the beach affords an opportunity to see a large variety of sea birds including Heron, Oyster Catchers etc. The central location of Aros Mains Apartment, Dairy & Castle Cottages enables one to explore the Isle of Mull and, as Tobermory is a mere 10-15 minutes drive, restaurants and hotels are within easy reach.

Summary: The cottage is perfectly placed to tour the isle with it being only a 15 min journey from the ferry port. A handy spar in Salen is nearby for all your needs and Tobermory is a quick and pleasant journey away. The cottage is spacious, exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was nothing we needed that our hosts hadn’t thought of. The views were spectacular especially when the local red deer paid us a visit at night. I also loved visiting the chickens daily. Look up and golden eagles were overhead, listen to the owls at night, watch the tiny bats hunt for food and look out for a pair of herons who live nearby too. A nature lovers dream! A short walk from the property led to a beach from which we took our daily dip. We walked there and back in our wetsuits. If I could move there I would. Thank you Richard and Kirsten for such a lovely little break for our family x

Summary: Clean, welcoming and very comfortable cottage situated above Salem Bay. The village of Salem has a good village shop. Roads lead from the village to every corner of the island. We particularly loved the island of Ulva and it's excellent Boathouse restaurant. Duart Castle was another favourite. We had sightings of magnificent eagles, but missed out on otters. It rained every day, but we had a lovely holiday.

Summary: Dairy Cottage was very clean and well presented. It couldn't be in a better position in the island amd what a bonus to have a castle and a beach literally a stone's throw away. Mull is a beautiful island and this was an ideal place to explore from. It was lovely to speak to the owners who were very kind, welcoming and helpful. We would most definitely return!

Summary: We had a brilliant stay on Mull at Dairy Cottage. We were a group of 4 adults and 1 3 year old and the cottage was perfect. The location was great for exploring the island and we spent most of our days exploring the beaches as the weather was fabulous. Richard was very welcoming and met us on arrival, and no doubt would have been on hand had we needed anything during our stay. Hope to back, in fact we need to be to defend Rob's sportive title!
