Positive: The location was beautiful and the people of Dajas Douro Valley very hostpitable
Negative: During the weekend there was a lot of very loud music from the river beach opposite the hotel until very late into the night. This is off course not the fault of the location, but I would have liked to know this beforehand.

Positive: Lovely stay, with a fantastic view over Douro. We stayed in a brand new Studio with Kitchenette and our private swimming pool in the terrace. Staff was overall friendly, with a special call out to Mr. Manuel. We were also welcomed by the owner Mrs. Alexandra that is super nice and knows well the region and how to let guests feel welcomed throughout their stay.

Positive: Really beautiful property, great room, and perfect pool. The view in particular was amazing to wake up to. The breakfast was also good. Highly recommend. The owner/host was also great when she met us, and when we checked out.
Negative: A really small thing in what was otherwise a really great stay. We missed the message of ordering dinner 24 hours in advance as our wedding was the day before. When I messaged the next day if we could still have dinner I got no response. When I asked again in person, I was told they would check but heard nothing. It was not until I came downstairs in the evening to see if it were possible. It's fine we couldn't have dinner, but further communication to be clear would have been useful so we could have picked up something else on the way, or planned to get dinner earlier, so we didn't need to make the 40 minute round journey to town at 8/9pm. Potentially the property could also make it clear when booking of the dinner options, and that there are no food options within a 20 minute drive.

Positive: We stayed at Dajas Douro Valley for two nights this weekend with our dog and it was simply amazing! The hotel is nestled in the middle of the trees with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Douro River and the surrounding valleys, absolutely wow! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Beatriz, who went above and beyond throughout the whole weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. On Saturday, we decided to fully enjoy the hotel: we relaxed by the beautiful swimming pool and later had a wonderful wine tasting experience with Manuel. The conversation was fascinating, learning about the history of the Douro Valley and the different local wines , truly a highlight. The food, prepared by Donna Esperanza, was outstanding! Delicious, authentic dishes that truly reflect the flavors of this region of Portugal. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway to relax, disconnect, and recharge, I can’t recommend Dajas Douro Valley enough. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return!
