Positive: This hotel was an overall okay stay. The location isn’t the best, but it’s still manageable to get around using DiDi, so transportation wasn’t a big issue. On the positive side, the receptionists were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and the place was clean and well-maintained inside. Although the exterior looks a bit rundown at first glance, the interior is actually quite decent and comfortable. Overall, a decent stay if you manage expectations.

Negative: One thing to note is parcel delivery - the hotel doesn’t always accept all packages, so you may need to coordinate with the receptionist beforehand to avoid any inconvenience. There is a self-service laundry available, which is convenient. However, there’s no dryer provided, so you’ll need to bring your clothes up to the second level to hang them to dry.

Positive: Nice traditional guesthouse in a local neighborhood, close to the stunning Pagodas complex (walking) and to the North gate of the ancient city (taxi). Comfy room and beds, helpful staff and great communication via WeChat.

Negative: Should be clear that old town is 20 minutes by walk, but it is very close to pagodas and temple. Not so easy to reach the hotel, especially when dark
