Built in stone, on a 1200 m2 garden with trees, this authentic Berber house is organized around a patio and includes:
A spacious fully equipped kitchen
A dining room with fireplace (table for 8-10 people).
3 tables in the garden for 20 people.
This house has 4 bedrooms:
2 bedrooms in the patio
bedroom 1 (1 double bed + 1 single bed)
bedroom 2 (1 double bed)
+ 1 bathroom / WC
1 bedroom (1 double bed) + bathroom / wc upstairs with private terrace.
1 bedroom in the garden with 2 single beds convertible into a double bed, Hifi, television and DVD player.
1 fully equipped baby bed + high chair.
This house is intended for 8 people. You have, however, the possibility of being slightly more with the conversion of the 2nd living room. It is essential to inform me.
2 large lounges including:
1 living room with fireplace, high speed internet, HiFi system.
1 second living room, Satellite TV (this living room can be converted into a 5th bedroom, double bed for 2 people with bathroom and wc).
Sleeping: 4 bedrooms + 1 convertible living room.
3 bathrooms.

All bedrooms and bathrooms have heating.

Summary: Wonderful stay, Patrick was always there to give advice before we arrived. The villa was beautiful rural but an oasis behind the gates. Said was on hand all the time for anything we needed, exceptional host. Plenty of space for all 10 of us, the tortoises were a joy Without hesitation i would return!inheartbeat

Summary: Absolutely stunning place, beautifully managed by Said. All the rooms were beautiful and the pool absolutely amazing - the kids had a wonderful time. We got massages at the house and used the hammam, plus were cooked for by Said's wonderful wife, whose name I'm so sorry but have forgotten. Warm, friendly and unforgettable.

Summary: This property is incredible. Patrick was quick to respond to my (many!) messages and the property itself has everything you need for a perfect relaxing villa holiday. There are so many little places to relax (the hammock, terrace, sun loungers, games room, hammam etc) that even as a group of 7 adults + baby it was easy to find a quiet spot at any time of the day. Every inch of the place is beautiful and full of interesting items and artwork. Then of course there is the wonderful housekeeper Said who was there to welcome us on day one and helped us with so many things: excursions, masseuses to visit the villa(!), restaurant reservations etc.. He was so friendly and welcoming (despite the fact we could hardly speak French!) and he only showed up on request or very discreetly to take the bins out etc, so never got in our way or invaded our privacy. He was such an asset to us visiting Morocco for the first time and we can’t thank him enough. I have dropped one star for the location of the property because you absolutely need a car if you want to leave the villa, I wouldn’t recommend attempting to go anywhere on foot as all you will find is dry dusty tracks. If you want cafes on your doorstep then this property is not for you, but if you’re looking to truly unwind, swim, sleep, and spend quality time with friends or family then this place is perfect. Summary: We spent a nice week with some friends at Dar Alwan. We enjoyed the beautiful garden with a lot of possibilities to relax, the terass on top to feel the last sun-rays of theday. We like the colourful house in morrocan style. Said, the house keeper, was looking forward to us and fulfilled nearly every wish. We hope to come back soon!

Summary: My family had a wonderful stay at Patricks home which is an authentic and well designed property full of beautiful decor throughout. All the things you need are available including great kitchen, multiple living/seating and dining areas inside and out, a beautiful large garden and the enclosed wall surrounding the property gives you a very secluded feeling. There's a lovely large roof area with seating and good sized private pool which we all spent lots of time to cool down and relax during the day. Bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The property is also located very close to local conveniences and Essaouira is only a short drive/taxi away. What made the stay very special was Said who was always available to help organise activities and provide his local knowledge and advice of places to go and Samira who cooked us breakfast and meals (great tagine dishes!!) when we were in for the evening. We highly recommend Patricks place and would love to return for another stay.

Summary: I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday with 7 friends at this house due to previous reviews and the very reassuring email conversation with Patrick. It was the best decision as all of us absolutely loved the house with its expansive garden area (my friends particularly loved all the turtles that were running around freely), the beautiful decor of the house, the pool, the hammam, the fire places, the laid back down to earth atmosphere but best of all, Samira, the cook, who prepared excellent breakfast and dinner every day. We requested vegetarian food only which Samira adapted to very creatively. Everything else was also taken care of by the lovely Said, from airport pick up, rental cars and organising activities. Despite being a group of 8, everyone had their own space due to the location of the bedrooms. I can only strongly recommend staying in this peaceful place, thanks very much for hosting us!

Summary: We were 3 friends who had a great time at the villa, we loved the house, but as the weather was so great we spent most of our time outside in the fantastic garden and pool area. Said was brilliant and was there whenever we needed anything, but wasn’t in our way at all. If you want a villa with loads of rustic charm then this is the place for you, though my one suggestion would be to take earplugs as there are some rather noisy dogs in the area, who only seem to become vocal at night. Packrick was great in organising our airport transport and giving us recommendations for days out. Would highly recommend this property.

Summary: The home is in a quiet neighborhood about 5-10 minutes drive from town. It is very comfortable with all amenities, great kitchen, and wonderful areas for eating, and relaxing. The hammam is beautiful, and although the weather was not conducive for swimming, the pool looked lovely. The caretaker Said and his wife Samira are kind, friendly, and super helpful. It was my birthday and she whipped up a beautiful fruit tart as a gift. Great people. Hope to come back some time. Many thanks!!
