Positive: Dar Koraich is a great place to stay. The room was adorned so beautifully. It may look a bit too much in the photos, but once you're there, it looks so nice. The bed was so comfortable too. The staff was extremely helpful with everything. The location is just great, at one of the gates of the old city, and this gate connects to the newer parts of the city. The breakfast was great. The hotel building in general is very beautiful.

Summary: Just perfect in every sense.

Positive: Beautiful 400 years old house richly decorated with tiles and antiques. Inside the Medina and close to main sites in the city. Very friendly and warm staff. Parking on the street but safe and in front of the hotel.

Negative: Breakfast was good but basic.

Positive: The room was very clean. Complimentary water was provided. The building is outstanding and directly in the city centre. Good for one night.

Negative: The staff made little effort to explain to us the city, environments and the hotel (e.g. to explain the minibar system in the room without any price list; or recommendations for dinner). Some of the breakfast dishes were served (even though served in a nice hand of Fatima platter) to other guests before us, leaving breadcrumbs inside, which doesn’t appeal.

Positive: We loved our stay. From the minute we stepped in we felt immediately welcomed. The staff is very attentive to details. The place is beautiful. Our suite had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The location is excellent. Breakfast was nicely served and sufficient. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were full.

Negative: We liked everything. It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in during our trip.

Positive: Beautiful looking Dar, very comfortable firm bed, fantastic shower pressure! The hammam area was very pretty and the tea and strawberries there were lovely. I was a bit confused by them asking if we had a good hammam when there was no steam, it we enjoyed the jacuzzi!

Negative: Freezing outside our room (it did seem exceptionally cold weather though). Fatima was lovely and very helpful, though some of our communications seemed to be lost in translation! Although they very helpfully tried to cater for my dietary requirements, dinner was cold (albeit tasty), as was coffee and my partners eggs in the morning - both on the table before he got there

Positive: Very good location. Excellent breakfast. Dar Koraich is richly but tastefully decorated. You feel like you are entering a boutique museum or ancestral home. This was probably the most beautiful place we stayed at during our 10-day trip.

Negative: The slabs on which you stand in the shower are not stable (they wobble) making one uncertain as to why this is happening. Also water would seep under the front slab and so we were forced to place a towel there to prevent water from going everywhere on the bathroom floor. This could easily be fixed on short notice.

Summary: This is definitely the place to stay at if you like mini-palaces
