Positive: Amazing experience, the owner was very helpful and friendly, gave me a lot of tips regarding Tunisia, guided me to buy a scarf at a local shop, changed my room to a better one for no additional price, and even offered me to stay one more day, again without charging anything. The room was massive, very beautiful and clean, the same goes for the whole accomodation including the terrace, and also the breakfast was tasty and very satiating. There was also a space for me to safely store my bike. Overall, I can’t recommend this place more, and hope to come back to Kairouane one day to come here again!

Positive: Alex, Bouchra, and Aeya are absolutely amazing!!! I did not expect that I will be immersed in so much Tunisian/Arab/Islam culture during my stay. We spent iftars together and the cuisine is amazing! The meal cost around 4euros. I love how Alex really encouraged us to socialize and discover what Kairouan has to offer. He also recommended us to do mosaic workshop at El Jem and I discovered how much I love mosaic art! Alex was also very open and welcoming. I learned so much during this stay!

Negative: Needs to mention how much dinner was at the beginning. I found out about it from my guesthouse mates. Can't complain much tho because it was super affordable for what we get.

Summary: Unforgettable culturally-rich stay!

Positive: Beautiful house in the Medina, easy to access from one of the main gates. The rooms were beautifully decorated and a lot of care had been taken to make the rooms as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was one of the best I had in Tunisia, and the people running the guesthouse were absolutely lovely. They kindly let me store my bags in the main office after my check out.

Negative: Had a small problem with the shower drain being blocked. I didn't notice so it caused a small flood! The owners were so helpful and kind and resolved the issue straight away. But best to check if shower is draining well because the bathroom was a wet room directly connected to main bedroom.

Positive: For me this was not just a night in a bnb, it was a whole experience. The house itself is simply beautiful, in the heart of the Medina, so quiet and clean! But the host, Mohamed, is the real gem! He enjoys having people around and makes you feel at home. He prepares breakfast in the morning, makes sure his guests are happy and always has a smile on his face. I felt at home and so welcomed!!! Thank you for everything Mohamed, hopefully I will come back to kairouan one day.

Negative: I stayed only one night.

Positive: An amazing old mansion repurposed as a Dar (B&B), with spacious and comfortable rooms. It's in the heart of the medina, has a roof terrace and they even added a typical Tunisian breakfast and many recommendations in Kairouan and the surroundings!
