'Le Cabanon' has been beautifully restored and provides ideal accommodation for two people. It is the only gite situated within the grounds of the owners' property, on the outskirts of Grans, a typical Provencal village providing all necessary amenities, including restaurants, bars, 3 bakeries, vegetable shop, butcher and a small supermarket. The property is ideally situated for those wishing to explore Provence, being within easy reach of Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Avignon, the Camargue, the Luberon and the beach. The accommodation comprises a 20 sq m. studio, with separate shower room, which has been tastefully and thoughtfully restored and equipped, providing dining table, easy chairs, double bed, and small, well-equipped kitchen. Summary: My partner and I are unseasoned travelers, having never been abroad. This little treasure of a gite was off the beaten path, outside a small village within walking distance. John readily made himself available, picking us up at the train station, taking us to the car rental place, giving us a tour of Grans, and even rescuing us when we got lost on our first foray to the market, and all with grace and good humor. He explained all that we needed to know about the gite, more than once. The gite itself was a cozy little place to spend a peaceful week. It was clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable. We threatened to never leave. Once we met Susan, that urge deepened even more. This is a lovely, gracious couple who softened the realities of acclimating to new culture. We will never forget you, nor Lilly & Abby, your frequent visitor cats who also made Le Cabanon feel like home.

Summary: We stayed here in May for a short break.The Gite was just as described,it was small but cosy and had everything provided.The hosts Susan and John were excellent and were always on hand if needed.Providing bikes was an excellent idea as we did not hire a car it allowed us to explore the surrounding area.Would highly recommend this Gite and would definately go back again

Summary: We stayed a week in le Cababon,a little gem of a place, ran immaculately by Susan and Jonh in the heart of Provence. The studio was well equipped,a lovely little wet room,English TV and WiFi. It was very clean and comfortable within spitting distance of the pool. The village of Grans was a delight ful bike trip or walking distance away really beautiful full of restaurants,cafes and even a bull and horse racing fete through the town The owners were so friendly and very helpful sharing their love of the area, full of ideas and local information which was very useful. We were visited Arles and Aix and an amazing light show in the caves of Les Beaux which Susan told us about. So quiet and peaceful in their place and could easily spend another week exploring the local countryside on their bikes. Very happy to recommend to friends and family and very keen to stay there again ourselves - the whole trip really exceeded all expectations, it was truly magical.

Summary: Stayed here for a week and found Le Cabannon to be every bit as lovely as advertised. Susan and John are the perfect hosts and were a pleasure to meet- friendly and unobtrusive (in fact we wish we had got to know them better) The studio is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Thouroughly enjoyed the pool and miss it so much now we are home. The bicycles on site came in handy for local trips to the village and days out. All we wanted was a restful warm (hot) retreat and Le Cabanon was just the tonic so we didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Would love to return here one day and we would thouroughly reccomend to any couples who want a nice peaceful break. Well done Susan and John - hope to see you again soon😀

Summary: Excellent accommodation for 2 in this neat, spotless and well-equipped gite. The shaded terrace looks out over the large pool (shared only with the owners) in the tranquil garden. The picturesque village of Grans is a short ride on the (supplied) bicycles with bars, a variety of food shops and two good restaurants. The many shops and restaurants in the historic town of Salon-de-Provence are a short drive. The site is well located for touring the many sites in the area. The English owners are charming and always ready with helpful advice. Strongly recommended

Summary: My wife and I have stayed here twice.The gite is very clean and honestly described on the website. Susan and John are friendly great hosts and not at all imposing. The location is peaceful but only just over 20 minutes walk to the centre of Grans. The village has very good eating places and bars and when they get to know you they even offer free drinks. Access by car to the main places of interest in the general area is excellent as you are close enough to the main roads that go north,south, east and west.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at Le Cabanon. The gite, though very small, is located in a delightful garden next to the pool and has excellent security. The interior has been tastefully and stylishly decorated, with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of tourist information and a pretty bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition. The location is excellent with many beautiful towns and villages to visit close by, a delightful drive along the Etang de Berre and an attractive coastline to the south. The Marseille airport is half an hour away, and a great supermarket ten minutes away towards Salon de Provence. The owners were friendly and charming and gave us helhelp pful tips on best places to visit. Installation of air conditioning would give mort comfort in summer We would recommend this property to our friends and relations.

Summary: Le Cabanon is a little gem in provence, perfect place to relax and visit this wonderful area, ideal location, close enough to visit beautiful coastal areas, wonderful cities and picturesque hill villages. located just outside the lovely village of Grans, with very good restuarants, bars and amenities and a lovely place to cycle on bicyles supplied at the very well equipped holiday home. Ideal place to just relax in the lovely garden around the pool or explore this wonderful area.

Summary: Very friendly welcome as we arrived. Very well designed place with a great shower and wet room attached. All possible extras included, eg barbecue, iron, microwave, garlic press (very important!), fan, maps of all interesting places etc. We had a great holiday and enjoyed the use of the pool. Our hosts were most attentive, making sure everything was comfortable for our stay. We highly recommend this holiday let.
