Summary: Accommodation worked for us, though would ideally gone for a slightly larger room. We weren't actually self catering this time but the facilities were very good, with a shared, fully equipped modern kitchen, washing machine, dryer etc.

Summary: Stayed for one night for a friends leaving do. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and looked well maintained.The communal kitchen was by far the best part, it meant we could take some bread and cereal for breakfast which meant it was essentially free, most other B&Bs charge quite a bit for breakfast so it was nice just to be able to eat out own food

Summary: Stayed overnight for a work Christmas party, the hotel was relatively easy to find and well located. The room was clean, pleasant and spacious. Shared facilities were fantastic, nice lounge and very large kitchen with washing facilities. Entry using the keypad was very convenient. I was able to park on the driveway but if this wasn't an option I could see parking nearby being a potential issue. Luckily there is plenty of parking within reasonable walking distance. Excellent value.

Summary: My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. We wanted somewhere warm and safe in a convenient location and this ticked all boxes. The room was spacious with lots of storage. We had a king sized bed which was extremely comfortable and a private wetroom bathroom. The extra bonus was the parking. We didn't anticipate how difficult parking would be in Portsmouth so arriving knowing we could use the drive or have a permit incase we needed to park on the street was a big relief.

Summary: Living in a country town in Suffolk was rather overwhelmed by the parking difficulties in Southsea. Found Emma very helpful when we encountered difficulties in getting in ( or fault !!). Our room was very comfortable and it was a joy to be able to make a cup of tea whenever we liked. Fire alarm in our room went off twice on our first night.

Summary: We stayed for 3 nights so we could make best use of the annual ticket into the Historic Dockyards. Blue Star House is a great location and we found parking easily with the map provided by Charlotte. Easy walk into Portsmouth along the front or the bus service is excellent too. Blue Star House is very clean, good facilities and a high standard of bedding and furnishings. We would recommend to others.
