Summary: Don’t be put off by the rustic exterior and surrounds. The chalet interior is cosy, well-appointed and spacious with wood panelling on the walls and lovely matching blinds and curtains. The bed was comfortable with a handmade doona (bed spread). The bathroom was spotless and has been recently renovated. The chalets and studios are in a very convenient location - short walk to the local hotel which serves great meals and a short drive away from the visitor centre at Lake St Clair National Park.

Summary: Felt when I was checking in, that staff member wasn’t overly friendly and more that I was interrupting her day and an inconvenience unfortunately. Place was very basic

Summary: I’d read a few poor reviews of the Derwent Bridge Chalets & Accommodation, and they turned out to be totally unfounded. We stayed in a Narcissus Studio and it was very comfortable. I didn’t expect the room to have a microwave and toaster (they weren’t specified) so we were able to make breakfast. Great location for Lake St Clair. Only downside - there was no WiFi. But 4G signal was fine.

Summary: Everything was fantastic, 10 out of 10. The Shalet was spotless, it had a lovely wood fire and an electric heater. The rooms were all done in wood panelling, there was kitchen and laundry facilities and the spa bath was a lovely extra touch. Despite the rainy weather, we were very cosy and warm.
