Positive: I had worked at the site when it was hydro owned and now coming back i couldn't believe the change - they upgraded us to be out on the water at the pump site and it was one of the best experiences we have had. The communal dinner was a highlight and we befriended a couple travelling from WA and had a wonderful evening

Negative: not a thing - this experience was all that we could ask for

Negative: A few more facilities would be good such as a jacuzzi and sauna. A king size bed would be preferable in the room.

Positive: Amazing view, room was amazing and staff were A+++++++

Negative: The food…….. the breakfast was amazing and beyond expectation. The lunch larder do not meet expectation most of which was supermarket quality. The dinners were horrible, very average and dry chicken the first night and a tough lamb shoulder that had a horrible smell the second night.I would defiantly put on my food preference sheet “ no lamb shoulder” in which case you get Barramundi which I was told was amazing. Alcohol was only available from the late afternoon and the bar service was shockingly slow. The food bar service (you could not order alcohol delivered to the pump house, only the shore house ) service did not match what was charged.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent. The food was delicious. We loved the picnic Lunches. A 3 course dinner and pre dinner drinks and canapes where also included. We stayed longer than most people. The staff changed our last 3 nights main course so we wouldn't have the same food we had already eaten. That was beyond and above anything we were expecting.

Summary: We had an amazing stay . We would recommend Pumphouse Point as a place to stay in Tasmania.

Negative: Difficulty opening large door to pumphouse. Being disabled we couldn’t access kitchen area via steps as no railing to hold onto. Entry to bed also challenging.

Summary: A beautiful oasis in the wilderness with friendly well trained staff to make ones stay smooth and enjoyable.
