Forming part of St Ethelbert's Terrace, a row of spacious semi-detached cottages, Digger's Rest has been expertly refurbished and welcomes guests to feel instantly at ease. Offering a well-proportioned living environment, this hideaway features contemporary interiors that remain sympathetic to the surrounding tranquil setting. The ground floor comprises of an open-plan well-equipped kitchen/ dining area, with exquisite blue cabinets and a large table with seating for six guests. Guests will love gathering together to create lasting holiday memories in this social space. A thoughtfully appointed sitting room with ample comfortable seating has been curated to encourage shared time and conversation. From here, french doors open to the quintessential cottage garden. Conveniently located for rinsing off well-earned sand and mud, a walk-in shower is located on this floor. Upstairs there are three beautifully presented bedrooms; a dual aspect master bedroom with king-size bed, an further king-size bedroom, and a fun bunk bedroom. These rooms are served by good-sized family bathroom offering a separate bath and walk-in shower.
Outside, the west facing garden is mostly laid to lawn with shrub borders. A charming patio area hosts outdoor dining furniture to a back drop of mature wisteria adorning the rear of the cottage. Being fully enclosed, this is a safe place for supervised children and dogs to play. Allocated parking for two cars is available in the shared parking area.

Summary: A lovely cottage,we only stayed for three nights, but would be happy to stay for longer in the future. We settled in very quickly, as it felt very homely. The garage next door was wonderful, had a shop, fish and chip shop and a chinese takeaway, what more could you ask for. Having visited Burnham many times before, we had always stayed in the centre of the village.Staying a few minutes walk away was ideal, after eating at the Hoste or No29 you need a little walk !!!

Summary: Had a great stay, a few things could improve Diggers. A proper iroing board, some comfy loungers to sit out in the garden to enjoy the sunshine and a washing line.

Summary: The cottage was ideal for myself, my husband, daughter and 2 very young children. The garden was perfect and safe for them to play in, however as in previous reviews we found the noise from the road (front bedroom) quite disturbing at times. The cottage was well appointed and had all that we needed for our stay. The location was also good with a pleasant walk into the centre of Burnham Market.

Summary: The cottage was lovely, just felt in parts needed a freshen up. Disappointed no welcome pack and although advertised as dog friendly, nothing provided for dogs!

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Digger's Rest recently. It's just on the edge of Burnham but in walking distance from the center of the village with all the lovely shops and coffee / tea rooms. The rooms are spacious and very modern, and well heated - it was quite cold in early May when we stayed there. One of the bedrooms faces the main road, so can get a bit noisy, but traffic is not too hectic in Burnham. Would definitely return!

Summary: We arrived at Diggers Rest on the 11th January to be met with Christmas decorations complete with tree and wreath on the front door, not exactly what we had hoped for on arrival to our break in Norfolk. We arrived and the house was absolutely freezing. There was a large bowl of water underneath the boiler cupboard with water constantly dripping from it. The heating and hot water had not been on for clearly days, and with a two year old and 3 month old we had to keep them in the car whilst we rang for the emergency plumber - it was actually warmer outside than it was in the cottage. I was absolutely devastated that the start of our holiday was so stressful. Coupled with lots of things being broken or not quite right I felt very upset. Norfolk hideaways clearly had not checked the house prior to our arrival, someone knew the boiler was broken and left it for us to fix the paying guests! I would not have been quite as upset if my parents hadn’t been staying in a much nicer better equipped cottage and they paid the same as us - we will not be using this company again.

Summary: We had a lovely few days at this delightful cottage, which was really comfortable and well positioned for the North Norfolk Coast. The cottage was well decorated and had everything needed for our stay. It had a lovely well cared for garden with a lawn, which so many cottages do not have, which was a bonus for our dog. We have visited this part of the world each year for many years and this was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. We’d definitely book this cottage again.
