The Pirates Beach Country Club and Golf Course is just a 5 minute drive and a jet ski rental company so you can get out for a day of fun out on the water!
Drive 25 minutes and spend a day out on the ocean with the Galveston Fishing Charter Company!

Summary: All in all, this is a great property. We had 9 adults and 2 children. Our only issue was lack of hot water for showers. The problem was/is intermittent. The owner was very responsive when we contacted him/her and had someone come out to check it. We still never had consistent hot water and could never figure out why (some had hot showers, some had cold/lukewarm showers at different times of the day/night). There is limited room between the dining table and the kitchen island. When there are people sitting at the dining table on both sides, it is very tight (especially if there are "fluffy" people) -- folks on one side are right up against the island and folks on the other side are right up against the blinds on the window. We spent a lot of time on the front balcony enjoying the sea breeze. The only issue there was at night when the flood light came on (it was on a motion sensor). Kids loved the crow's nest at the top. The mattress on the king bed is a bit too firm for me, but my husband had no complaints.

Summary: Home is beautiful! There were a few minor issues but the owner tended to them quickly. We immensely enjoyed our visit to Galveston. We had 8 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 children and were accommodated with sleeping and showering arrangements perfectly. We brought our own beach towels and went grocery shopping the first day of our stay for all the kitchen food/supplies we needed. We will visit again!

Summary: We had a great time! The AC is cold. There's lots of storage space in the kitchen area. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure is great. Management was easy to reach and very responsive. Fortunately we spend 90% of our waking hours either on the beach or on the deck, because the kitchen/dining/living room area is VERY cramped. You cannot sit at the dining table and walk all the way around the kitchen island, which would not be a problem if more than one person could pass in the remaining walkway. It's not a deal breaker, and we would rent again if we go back to Galveston.

Summary: Great house, clean and fresh, quick access to the beach, great touch with the TV’s / internet (good for teenagers and when everyone is tired from the beach). Suggest bringing some extra basic cooking supplies such as tin foil, extra dishwashing / washing machine pods, coffee. Etc. no complaints just minor things to not forget!
