Relax with friends and family in this peaceful canal-front home in the quiet Turtle Cove community. With a large dock, you can bring your boat, fish right off the dock, hop in one of the three provided kayaks for a paddle, or opt for one of the many fishing charters in the area. Downstairs you'll find an outdoor shower, gas grill, picnic table, and fridge where you can stash your day's catch. Spend the afternoon on the outdoor swing on the lower deck while the kids nap in the two adorable toddler beds. If you're eager for a beach day, Surfside Beach is about four and a half miles away - don't forget to grab the beach chairs and umbrella stored downstairs. After firing up the grill or preparing your catch in the full kitchen, you can dine alfresco at the picnic table or opt for the roomy dining area inside. A booster seat and high chair are provided to accommodate younger guests. There are many games for the kids while you stream your favorite shows on the TVs in either the living area or the main bedroom, or you can grab one of the rocking chairs on the upstairs deck and watch the stars.
THINGS TO KNOW
Due to fluctuating tap water quality in the Village of Surfside Beach, it is recommended to bring bottled water for drinking and/or cooking during your stay. During times of elevated water contaminants, water coming from the faucets and toilets may have a yellow tint. The water is safe for bathing.
The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
Bottled water is recommended for consumption. The house's water is safe to use for bathing, washing, and cooking after boiling.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Dock details: The private dock is 26 feet on a canal. The water can get very shallow during low tide. No ropes or or boat tie off anchors are provided. Swimming is not recommended.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Summary: A/C would not cool below 86 temperature outside was upper 90s with 80% humidity we had to drive around in our car in the afternoon could not stay inside the house. The neighbor next door had junk piled up all around the house I had never seen anything like it. The lights for the carport did not work so it was difficult to see at night. We left Sunday due to a mandatory evacuation due to hurricane Beryl VRBO agreed to issue a one day refund they said they contacted the host I waited a week never received it contacted host and sent screenshot of conversation with VRBO host said she doesn’t handle that. The whole experience was terrible and I will definitely not return.

Summary: We booked this house for five nights as a quick trip for Christmas vacation, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The home was spotless when we arrived and everything was as described. The little room off of the bedroom worked very well as storage for our luggage, and two teenagers had no problem sleeping in the living room on the fold-out sofas. We didn't even fold them up during the day as there was still plenty of room for them to remain out. Being a tall man, I appreciated the shower and not having to bend over to get under it like I have to in most places we stay. The downstairs bathroom was useful for rinsing off after going to the beach, and it was nice to have an extra toilet that could be utilized while fishing off the pier without climbing up a flight of stairs. My kids loved kayaking in the canal. We used our own lifejackets and fishing gear, but there were vests and a couple of poles and nets available. Only one rod had a reel, but again, that wasn't an issue because we brought our own. The downstairs refrigerator worked great for storing our drinks, and the grill was perfect to cook for four people. December is not the best time of year to fish down there, but I still caught black drum, flounder, pinfish, and mackerel directly from the dock. The few neighbors that we met were very friendly and polite, and the neighborhood was incredibly quiet. About the only negative I could find, and this is being extremely nitpicky, would be the porch swing. It's a nice touch, but my wife is as short as I am tall, and the swing was mounted too high from the ground for her to use it. Again, that's nothing serious, and it did not affect our stay at all. We would definitely stay at this house again. Thank y'all for making a home like this available for people to enjoy.

Summary: We were looking for a place to stay while we went fishing. It was fine for that. The air couldn't cool down below 87 during the day. However it was over 100 outside. Just curious, does anyone ever use the toddler beds that take over the 2nd bedroom. Seems to me a twin bed in the room might be better.

Summary: Very comfy home right on the inlet waterway fully stocked with everything needed for fishing, crabbing, kayaking, and playing on the beach. Location is perfect for fishing and a short drive to Surfside Beach. The only downside we experienced was the A/C does not work properly from mid day until 7pm so it would heat up to 84 degrees inside and wouldn’t cool down until right before sunset.

Summary: This place is a little smaller than the pictures make it out to be. We rented it for a place to crash after fishing all day so it is well suited for that. However the neighbor seems to be hoarder and his place is trashed so it kind of kills the vacation vibe.

Summary: Good spot within short driving distance of a variety of fun outdoor activities. Location included beach toys, kayaks, other outdoor activity materials. Small and homey, with adequate kitchen and bathroom amenities. Rated for 6 adults. Sleeping arrangement included 1 twin to full bed (comfortably fits 2 adults), 2 fold out single beds, and 2 small toddler beds. 4 adults plus X children (2-4) a more accurate sleeping arrangement description.

Summary: The house was good for a one night stay and the deck and dock views were beautiful. However, the place more like sleeps 4 adults and 2 toddlers. We also felt very uncomfortable with be recorded on the cameras that were on property. I’m sure there are reasons but it get very invasive. Overall, it was just what we needed, but not likely to stay here again unless it’s just my family of 4.

Summary: Place was clean and cozy. Just wish we could’ve enjoyed more time outside grilling and fishing on the dock because we couldn’t due to the Overwhelming of mosquitoes we tried off etc it didn’t work well. I think there needs to be a pest control system in place to spray the area.
